I was diagnosed with kidney stones 6 months ago, he did nothing. I now have had 2 infections as I have a big stone in my uretha. Very painful and now I cannot get to see a urologist for awhile. Why is he so reluctant to help me out. I wouldn’t take my cat to see him he should not be a doctor.

Dr Oluma is thorough with his physical exams, but is not accommodating at all. I live in a different city and will not do a virtual appt even if roads are bad in winter. I’ve taken a medication for years prescribed from my psychiatrist and he refuses to prescribe it. He can be rude and arrogant, I am so thankful that I found a new doctor

Does he really have a degree? He asks me what I I want him to do. Does the same with a friend. Ask him a question, he responds with a nothing answer and gets up to leave the room. He renews prescriptions. That is about all he is good for. My hip was in pain, I was using a cain. He kept saying it nothing. Would not take an x-ray, said we did one two years ago. Surprise things change in two years. Took 11/2 years to convince him to send me to a hip surgeon. He then said we’ll do an x-ray first. Guess what, when the results came in he cheerfully announced I needed hip surgery as I was level 4 . Then it took another 11/2 years to get the surgery. Wait time, three years. He is useless. Wonder if he actually has a degree.

I had been sick for 3 weeks and kept progressively getting sicker. I had fever for 5 days, very shallow breathing, and could not lay down without horrendous coughing fits so I couldn’t sleep. I felt so poorly I decided to go to a walk in clinic on the weekend before I could see my doctor. I chose Stapleford because I thought they might have better doctors than other walk-ins open on weekend. After waiting an hour I got in for an appointment that last 2 minutes. Dr. Oluma asked no questions and did no real exam - not even the basic look in your eyes, ears and throat. He took my temp and said it’s fine and I said it’s because I took meds to bring it down. I explained the problems with my lungs and how they even made gurgling sounds that I could hear outside my body - he listened to them - saying to take deep breaths even though I tried to explain I literally can’t and he said “your lungs are good” and just sent me off with nothing. Next day, different doc was quiet concerned - sent for chest x-ray - radiologist showed me how both lungs were filled with pneumonia and it is amazing I am even breathing and wanted to send me straight to hospital. If I listened to Dr. Oluma and didn’t make another appt the next day I might literally have died but he did not take my concerns seriously at all.

Have been stuck with him as my doctor for a few years- since he came to Stapleford
I inherited him after having 3 great doctors in a row who all eventually left Stapleford. The worst example is a bladder infection I had: I discovered it on ehealth- so I made the appointment and he was bewildered as to why I had made the appointment. I told him that it appeared I had a bad bladder infection(!)….other examples is him not ordering tests I should have based on my history such as thyroid levels and family history of diabetes. He isn’t thorough and sometimes sarcastic bordering on rude.

I have been seeing Dr Oluma since shortly after he started at Stapleford.
I am diabetic so see him on a 3 month cycle
I have always found him to an excellent GP. Friendly while at the same time professional.
I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends.
Stapleford is a busy clinic. Book your appointments in first thing in the morning. That was there is less time for them to get backed up

I question this doctors intelligence and people skills. Went in with whiplash after a bad fall and banging my head on concrete. He wrote an X-ray requisition. When asked if he thought I may have a concussion he seemed to become annoyed and said “you said you didn’t pass out”. I’m not a doctor but I know you don’t need to “pass out” to suffer a concussion. He then told me to go to the ER if I think I have a concussion. At that point he stood up to leave the room. I asked if I could get a prescription for a muscle relaxant as I wasn’t getting any relief from over the counter drugs. He again seemed annoyed, wrote a prescription and told me they were going to play with my mind rather than give me any relief. I’m not one to take drugs but this was on a weekend and I wasn’t able to see a chiropractor or physiotherapist until Monday. I needed something to help get me through the weekend.
I found him very aloof and arrogant. I don’t recommend this doctor. Stapleford has great staff and I’ve seen many good doctors there over the years. This guy doesn’t measure up to their standards or what should be standards for any doctor. Very frustrating.

I went in with unknown prolapsed rectum. I waited over an hour waiting to see him. When I went in the room, he criticized me for “googling” what I may have. He did not ask for a nurse to witness the examination. As I was pulling down my pants, wincing in pain, he looked told me it was a thrombus hemorrhoid and there was nothing he could do. I asked again what I could do to alleviate the pain, replied nothing. You could go to emergency to see if they will do anything. I left in tears. Hours later after finally been seen at ER, prolapsed rectum. Perhaps if he would have examined me when I was in the office, not just a glance and I was still in the process of undress, he would have told me what it was and would have told the ER a correct diagnosis. Very disappointed at the pace doctors are taking the time to actually hear patients and properly diagnose.

My mother sees Dr Oluma and I’ve had to interject and find her someone who cares. She needs help with illnesses due to aging but he won’t give her more than 5 minutes to explain her symptoms, he doesn’t call with test results that are in urgent need of a prescription and he takes weeks to do a phone appointment because he’s in vacation or takes too many patients. How can you not phone your patient to prescribe medication after results have been in for over a week!!!! Resulting in her going into the hospital with blood poisoning!!! Terrible! He doesn’t care!
