This doctor is abusive and should be reviewed by the attorney general. https://www.nj.gov/oag/contactus.htm. He falsely accuses people and threatens to tie you down if you ask any questions. Report this doctor to the attorney general of NJ. https://www.nj.gov/oag/contactus.htm

Do not go to this doctor if you have psychiatric symptoms. He will misdiagnose you and make you take harsh medications. He cannot speak like an adult and curses and demeans people.

Almost 25 years ago I was being treated for depression by Dr. Bhalla. At first I was happy with his services....until all he wanted to talk about was my "adult" extracurricular life as a single woman. I was 32 years old, and one of my issues had to do with trust. I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with him and stopped seeing him.

I would not recommend this doctor. He is incapable of communicating like an adult with other adults. When meeting with him about our child, he was crass and condescending and refused to answer questions about the basis of the diagnosis he was making.

My 15 year old daughter is bipolar, manic depressive. Dr. Bhalla has been treating her for about 2 years and we are so fortunate to have him as our treating psychiatrist. Medically speaking, he is so knowledgeable and 99% of the time, he is right! He administers medication conservatively and cautiously. Personally, he can be tough at times, but he is honest and I myself have learned from him! He is 'rough-around-the edges' but he cares! I do not know too many doctors that call their patients, at random, to check in.

These are the facts. Our daughter has cerebral palsy, and when she first walked in to Dr. Bhalla's office, the first thing he said was "You walk funny. Are you ok?" It’s unconceivable that any adult, let alone a Doctor specializing in people’s feelings, would make such a crass statement. Also, he treated any question we asked -- polite, logical questions any caring parent would ask their child's Doctor -- like a personal affront. And one day when he asked how our daughter was feeling on her new medication and she said “anxious,” he said, and this is a quote, “That’s bulls**t.” Our goal in writing this review is to help others avoid our fate. The facts are negative, the truth is negative, so this review is negative. But it is the truth.
