Seen for wrist fracture. Took 2 weeks to get in for a consult and then needed surgery. Complications with hand. No referrals or further interventions provided from dr. Just give it a year.

I received a distal radioulnar reconstructive surgery using ligament grafting from Dr. Chan back in June of 2017. I actually needed 3 surgeries to fix the instability, but every surgery Dr. Chan and his staff were a pleasure to interact with. Only a few short months after surgery I was rock climbing again, and more than 5 years post-accident the work has held up tremendously well (something that can be uncommon for this type of traumatic injury). Dr. Chan does amazing work and the fact that this major procedure led to a relatively mundane recovery (all things considered) I have nothing but gratitude for the work he performed on me.

Yes he is a great surgeon. But after that no. I lost my job because he could not be bothered to forward required paperwork. I did not appreciate the short arrogant answers. Nor did I appreciate being left for HOURS sitting in a corner of the office because He and his staff forgot I was there at all - not once but twice. I have now gone broke paying out of my own pocket to regain the ability to use my hand. I hope to never cross paths with this person or his staff again.

I had a badly broken left wrist that the doctor in fort mcmurray ruined with two botched surgeries. I went to Dr. Chan and he fixed it better than I expected. He's a very friendly, patient doctor who really cared about his patients. I highly recommend him

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Chan at the Ortho clinic regarding what I thought was a hand injury, turns out it is arthritis-Yikes! Staff and Dr Chan were very knowledgeable and helpful with advice on how to manage pain. Very thorough and knowledgeable with great bedside manner.

Dr. CHAN did the surgery for my ankle repair, after it had been misdiagnosed as healed by another Doctor. Very personable and great bedside manner as stated before. Listens and seems to be genuine in caring about his patient. Still healing from the surgery but every follow up has been punctual, the staff are friendly and very helpful. I was called three days after surgery by the staff to see how i was doing with pain management. Would recommend, however wish he didn't have to be at the Sturgeon hospital which only has two x-ray machines and is way over booked with ER, consults and other Orthopedic patients.

After having smashed my wrist by falling on the ice in Nov. Dr. Chan performed surgery and my wrist has healed nicely. Not only is he efficient, his bedside manner is the best I have ever encountered. Keep up the great work!

As a nurse, and having worked in orthopedics, I have never met a surgeon with better bedside manner! My scar is hardly noticeable, no problems post ankle repair.

Dr Chan took over my care, I had a broken humerus which ended up infected. He had to reopen my arm twice to get it under control. I stayed over a week and he came into check on me several times. Great care.
