I broke my femur in 1999. Went immediately into surgery with Diebold and during surgery he broke my femur again. Proceeded to palm me off to a specialist in Sydney, 6 hours away by car, in an air ambulance. Terrible experience and could go as far as saying he is unfit to practise.

Misdiagnosed a broken wrist as a sprain, required surgery a week later after seeing someone else.

I had a trampoline accident and got surgery and it’s still isn’t healed this was three months ago and the day I can do my favourite sport gymnastics, again keeps on being held back. I’m just desperate to be normal again. And for an other thing I have to go to a specialist in Brisbane

Robin Diebold did my ACL Reconstruction surgery back in 2009. For this surgery he uses a patella tendon autograft to get a stronger more stable result. I found he accomplised my surgical procedure very competently and I have a good knee again so happy with the result. Now, a previous commenter said 'horses for courses' and that would be correct for any surgeon. Diebold is a sports injury specialist as I understand it, and a local physiotherapist advised me that Diebold is as good as any city specialist, and whether or not you get a good outcome really depends on your doing your rehab exercises properly and thoroughly post-surgery. Diebold is also known to be very good with hip replacements.

Was very caring and fixed my badly fractured leg. I wish I had him before for my other bike accident. Only heard good things about him.

He did my hip replacement and all went well. Very happy with how he and his staff treated me. Also liked that there was no gap to pay for my surgery. The nurses at Armidale Private hospital were also great.

All I can say is Horse for Course's might be good at putting band aids on ( shoulders hips and knee's ) but backs he should not touch, I had a work accident some time ago and still reaping the rewards. He should have sent me to John Hunter Hospital at the end of the day instead he saw the big buck from work cover. At the end of 3mths when the money ran out he through his hands up and pass me on, and just left me with a very bad back. Not very happy Jan !!!!!. And I have had a lot of other patients same the same thing .

Just had bunion surgery. Was expecting a lot of pain as had to have toe fractured and screws put in. I have to say I have very little pain and just on panadol (although many pain meds available while in hospital) the day after which resolves the pain. Able to weight-bear same day as surgery which was a relief although a bit painful when walking (day two now), ok if I stay still and elevate the foot. Only overnight stay. Very happy with the result so far and I suspect I'll have a quick recovery. Dr Diebold was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend him based on my experience.

Pleasant and friendly, gave me my options in a fairly direct and straightforward way which I appreciated. Did not need any surgery so cannot comment, but I was happy with my experience.
