The best doctor ever. Very caring and compassionate! He really does care about his patients! I have had him as my family doctor now for almost six years and I really am glad that he is Mr doctor! I give him five star ratings and more! Keep up the great work Dr. Maloney!

I feel I should share this. On my way to Dr. Maloney's, the main road from the city into Rothesay was unexpectedly shut down. This forced me to do a major back track, which ultimately led to me being 3-4 minutes late for my appointment late in the day.

As I went inside, I was shocked to see that the power was out. I introduced myself to reception, explained my tardiness, and had an exchange about how the power had been out since before noon. I was taken right in by Dr. Maloney upon arrival.

Let alone the great care Dr. Maloney consistently provides, he and staff were there in the dark, providing that great care to his patients. I just wanted to share that with the public.

As many have said, Dr Maloney had big shoes to fill (meaning big patient load & big expectations); majority of Dr Blagrave's patients were seniors, so their number of disabilities/medical issues far exceed a more blended patient mix.
That said, Dr. Maloney has taken on the challenge of a complex patient load & grown to meet most folks expectations of their family MD - no small task taking over from Dr Blagrave's practice of 30+ years.
I read Dr Maloney's replies to some of the comments & he commits to making patients feel more at-ease + cut down the appt bookings to have more time with individual patients.

My personal experience has been phenomenal. As a health care professional myself, I appreciate bouncing off ideas to Dr. Maloney & he gives me his honest opinion. My health has been up & down over the last 10 yrs and my symptoms variable to say the least. Dr. Maloney treats me with respect & sets goals for me/supports my back-to-work regime. I can't honestly fathom another GP, besides Dr Maloney & Dr Blagrave, who would carefully consider my file & treat me with such care & respect. I know of other patients who absolutely feel the same with Dr Maloney's excellent bedside manner. Hats off to a hard-working GP.

Dr. Maloney is a wonderful doctor. He takes his time with me, and my many issues. If he does not know what is going on, he does not hesitate to refer me to a specialist to see what the problem is. His staff is wonderful, they will get you right in, and you hardly get to sit down before he is calling you into his office. What would I do without him? If one specialist can't help me, than he will send me to another one. The waits are long for them. He watches my meds, and trys others to see if something with help me. I know that there are other poeple worst than me, but I just can't say enough about the special care I get from him. Thank you Dr. Patrick Maloney.

Professional personable and easy going... but honest and direct. Exactly what is needed when your health is in question. His staff is excellent wait times for appointments are very short often within hours if needed. Location is convenient and in-office wait times are almost non-existent usually within a couple minutes of your appointment. Do NOT underestimate how important punctuality is. Yes we are all busy and quick is convenient... but when dealing with young children getting them in and and on the table within minutes of arriving makes for a calmer and more effective visit. A calmer child is more easily diagnosed properly and a calmer more relaxed sibling allows mom or dad to accurately relay symptoms and more closely listen to advice. Punctuality matters and they are excellent at it. I genuinely believe my family is getting the best possible care from Doctor Maloney and his wonderful staff. Speaking as a father...what else is there?

I have found Doctor Maloney to be a bit hit-and-miss. Generally speaking, Dr.Maloney will try to do what he can to fix problems, but sometimes he comes across as a bit lazy - for example, one of my family members went in with concerns about heart history and health - he didn't even take their blood pressure, let alone look into some tests or listen to their heart rate. This is not an isolated incident and all of my family has had experiences like this with him. He has also taken some wild stabs in the dark for diagnoses before for us and had to look some stuff up online or seemed entirely unsure on many occasions, so he doesn't seem as knowledgeable as some other GP's.

That being said, hes quick to help when he can, seems to genuinely care and on some topics he is exceedingly good with - for example, he seems particularly compassionate and knowledgable.

I could think of better, but there could be much, much worse. He is a good guy, but I think he needs to be a bit more detailed for the most part and the knowledge-deficit part I am sure will improve with time.

I love Dr. Maloney. I have had a lot of issues, and he will not hesitate to send me to another doctor to see what is going on. He takes his time with me, listens, & I know I am probably a pain to him as well trying to get to the bottom of my problems. But he does not stop. He will take his time with you. Thank Dr. Maloney.

Excellent family doctor! Dr. Maloney caught my father's diabetes and provided a lot of help, so sad that we had to leave him because we moved back to Toronto. Definitely the best doctor in NB.
