I had seen the reviews, but went in with an open mind, recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, asked how I would manage the condition,he explained that regular blood tests, ultrasound of thyroid and hopefully can reduce meds,he checked my neck and found goiter though not visible,I felt happier when I left, found professor Kinsley a pleasant man.

Literally let me manage my condition myself despite paying through the nose. Secretary totally unreliable. Honestly wouldn't dream of seeing him again

I also found Dr Brendan Kinsley and his secretary very frustrating to deal with. Sometimes they did not reply to urgent emails. Offhand replies to symptom concerns and no guidance on how to treat them. They have no idea of professionalism and he relies reading on blood stats done by my GP. Absolutely no holistic care, no guidance, no assistance on how to educate yourself on thyroid illness. Very patronising approach. Told me I could have died due to my hormone levels, which my GP assured me was not the case. He probably said it to frighten me. Find someone else, that’s what I’m trying to do.

Outdated and arrogant. One trick poney relying on TSH, T3/T4 levels. Completely dismissive of symptoms and doesnt even consider TPO levels. Left consult deflated.

All comment is based on my personal experience, 1 have also informed this doctor in writing of my disappointment in his level of care.Doctors are service providers just like the gas company of a car mechanic, if you are not happy you can fire them, but please inform them of your reasons. If you are suffering with the lingering symptoms of Hypothyroidism this is the last guy you want to see. He will only use the TSH result as his guide to treatment and not the symptoms the patient is clearly suffering. In his opinion my symptoms " not related to her hypothyroidism" all the classic symptoms are presenting is he blind deaf or just not caring enough to try to improve my health.
