Dr, Bernhard is retiring, This absolutely makes me sick to my stomach. He is soft spoken, kind, understanding and takes his time to answer questions, He will be very missed. He has been my Dr. for about 35 years. I truly hate to see him retire. A Good man and a great Dr.

I have been seeing Dr. Bernhard since the late 90s and despite the fact that I now live 30-40 minutes away, I still make the trip to Batavia to see him for all my medical needs. I also see him for well woman care and he has very respectful bedside manner. He is always polite, courteous. Through the years, I've even gotten to see his good humor. His staff, on the other hand, has not always been so helpful. Over the years, it has gotten better, but they could all stand to be a little friendlier and more compassionate, but they aren't rude, either. His nurses seem a little short, but they do have a lot of work to do. Sometimes I have to wait 10-15 minutes or so for my scheduled appointment, but it's a comfortable office, and waiting seems to be industry standard. All minor complaints aside, I trust and LIKE Dr. Bernhard, and unless one of us moves out of the state, I probably won't consider seeing another MD until he retires (hopefully many, many years from now!).

I have been seeing Dr. Bernhard for approx 15 years. He is a great doctor and has never misdiagnosed me. I usually have to wait and his staff is below average, mostly rude, but the Dr. is worth it.

The Doctor is disconnected from me as a person. Perhaps the patient load. However, his staff is absolutely terrible. Rude, short. I have been a patient for 1 1/2 years and am switching my family to an office with professional, courteous staff.

Dr. Bernhard was a great doctor at one time but after he moved his practice from Aurora to Batavia he went downhill. His patients were his first priority but later it was only about money. It is a shame that he changed so dramatically.

Dr. Bernhard is an excellent Dr. He cares about his patients. Has never misdiagnosed an illness of mine. Nurses are courteous and helpful. If he needs to refer you to a specialist, he will send you to someone that he would go to and trust or send his wife to. I'm glad he is in my network of Dr.'s to choose from. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
