Dr. Wolfe did an excellent job diagnosing my skin issues. A good Doctor who gets to the point in a respectful manner without wasting time.

I have been going to Dr. Wolfe since I was an adolescent. I am now in my 30s. Years ago Dr. Wolfe’s office had an issue with coordinating schedules and time management as one would wait at least an hour and sometimes more for him to see you. This issue seemed to lesson and the wait time has gotten much shorter, however now the problem is with Dr. Wolfe himself. At this point, speaking to him is completely unbearable. I’m not sure if it’s age catching up to him or just an overall lack of care towards his profession at this point, but care and respect towards his patients is gone. After self monitoring a new skin mark on myself for 6 months (with monthly progress photos of the mark) I noticed significant changes in what once was a flat mark to now raised and larger skin mark that also bled. I saw brought my concerns to a professional dermatologist as recommended and explained why I was there for the visit when he asked. Upon explaining that I have been monitoring this for 6 months with a magnifying mirror and noticing progressive changes to it, he proceeds to scoff at me and states “everyone is a dermatologist these days I guess” which alone left me speechless. Dr. Wolfe briefly examined the skin mark under his naked eye without any tools that may enhance the appearance of what he is seeing. He did not care to look at the photos I had of the progress I had and instead repeatedly stated it didn’t look like anything to him. I did however insist on a biopsy as I was already there and had concern of my own. As he was removing the raised mark, he consistently stated “this is why oncologist hate us because we send them such small samples”. He stated this multiple times as if I was doing him a disservice when in fact I was there for an alarming concern. I let him know I did have another skin issue upon wanting to show him the progress of my skin psoriasis. He stated “if you have issues then you need a social worker.” I stated I’ve been using clobetasol propionate for treatment. Instead of asking me how that was treating the issue, he mocked the way I said the name of the medication. He then proceeded to prescribe me the same medication that I stated I already had (that HE prescribed to me). I let him know I did not need more but instead wanted to discuss other alternatives or options as the flare ups are increasing. He stated psoriasis is just something I will always have and to use this cream. “Put this cream on and it will go away” completely disregarding a thing I said. It’s unfortunate because Dr. Wolfe was once a great dermatologist however I think it’s fine time to retire before damaging his reputation further or mistreating patients.

This guy may be a very good doctor, but I can not work with someone who has no respect for other people's time. This is my second time seeing him and it's the second time I have had to wait over 90 minutes before being taken back to the exam room, which starts another 20-30 minute wait. I don't have time to sit and waste my day and this guy doesn't think anyone else's time matters. So bye bye.

I had an appointment scheduled for 3:45pm. Finally got in the examine room at 6:00pm. I felt that the examination performed by the doctor was very brief and perfunctory. undoubtedly, time and the number of patients (three) remaining to be seen may have played a part in his examination. Lastly, this doctors saw me a year earlier for a rash. The dark brown mark remain. This year I was advised by a periodontist that I have an autoimmune disease. Was the earlier rash a preview of the disease? yes.

Horrible. Waited over an hour in the waiting room, then I was taken back to a room (without being spoken to). I turned around to ask a question and the lady was gone. Waited there another 45 min before the doctor came in. He wasn't very personable and I felt uncomfortable around him. During the exam the same lady stood behind me in the back corner of the room which was very awkward. No interactions with anyone. Doc decided to set me up for a procedure (which I knew I wasn't going to be coming back). So then the lady decides to speak to me once it came time to set up the procedure. I paid and left. I will be finding another doc for the needed procedures.

I have seen this doctor several times now. Each time, even though it was me and only one other person in the waiting room, I have had to wait over an hour just to get back to the room where I wait another 30 minutes. Even though I told him what cream had worked for me, he wrote me a prescription for a new one that cost $500, of which my insurance only paid half. And it didn't work as well as the one I told him I had been using. I am now looking for a new derm.

Always expect to sit in the waiting room at least 1 hour, no matter what time of day. The last straw was when I brought in my 4 year old for an appointment - we waited 1 hour and 40 minutes before being called in, then another 15 minutes in the exam room with no one coming in, so I decided that was enough and we left. I recommend another doctor who respects that your time is as important as his.
