I'm "undecided" on Dr. Ted - I just took my 3 yr old daughter to him for her 1st appt, and experienced both some of the positives & negatives mentioned by others here. The staff was creative in helping acclimate her -- "counting" teeth with her, letting her feel the way the instruments worked on her fingertips before cleaning her teeth, etc., etc.. But I must agree that Dr. Ted seemed rather dismissive and not willing to take the time to answer my questions or address my concerns thoroughly, etc.. I left feeling a bit annoyed. If I hadn't pressed him, I don't think he would have explained hardly ANYTHING about my daughter's dental problem. I had to keep asking to get any info out of him at all. I'm undecided as to whether I'll return.

My two sons saw Dr. Ted after my older son had a very bad dental experience with another dentist. Dr. Ted let my son touch the dental instruments and as he examined his teeth, and then told him he was "counting" them. He earned the trust from my sons and family. Dr. Ted and his staff were sensitive and thorough when extensive dental work needed to to be done with my younger son. I am confident in the work he does and truly trust his judgement. The office staff and dental team have always been polite, professional and helpful. My family and I are grateful for Dr. Ted and his staff.

I have 3 daughters who have seen Dr. Loiben since they were toddlers he is a great Dentist. I have never experienced any problems with him or his staff. I feel bad for the other 2 people that didn't have such a great experience. Dr. Loiben is always booked so I know he is a good dentist otherwise people would not go back to him.

I took my 4 year old to see Dr. Loiben for a pretty bad tooth problem (this is after another bad dentist) and he was extremely rude. While I understand they have a process to get done quickly, it was quite mechanical and the doctor pretty much told me to be quite. I made a comment to the nurse who must have said something to him because he did call and apologize...he did say they had a process though and didn't want to interupt how they did things. Sorry, I know my child and what to do to calm him. They were concerned he wouldn't sit still, and he sat nicely through the entire process...not by their doing!

I took my 21/2 year old to Dr. Loiben expecting a Dr and staff who would attempt to make my child comfortable during the procedure. Instead I stood there in shock as they tore my crying child out of my arms (without warning) and pinned him to the table. Then told me I had to help restrain him. In a state of shock I regretably complied. They did not do a single thing to try and calm my child or make him less apprehensive/scared. The only attempts were made by myself, and when they were the staff was very impatient. When there was a wait between the exam and x-rays of a few minutes the Dr told me to leave my hysterical child on the chair because it was such an effort to get him there . I have never seen my child so horrified before and I regret that I didn't walk of there right away instead of putting my child through that experience.
