Worst skin doctor office . Can't treat my acnes and have worst service. 1st appointment, the doctor gave 2 acnes prescription. I told her my pharmacy address which is Walgreens that closest to my house. She then sent it to an independent pharmacy about 30 miles away. Which I guess it's her friend or relative something. The pharmacist tone was so rude. The 2nd appointment even more worst. Waiting for almost an hour and the front desk man told me that my insurance haven't approve the appointment and they will need to call me later to come back. I asked him why they haven't let me know before the appointment and also why let me seat there waiting for an hour . He not even apologize for their mistake. They even reminded me by text and email about the appointment today. Unbelievable how this people running the office. Stay away these harmful people. Dont waisting your time. So bad and unprofessional doctor office!!!

She makes you think you need $100's of dollars worth of products (all her own products). I've had cortisone shots on the past for keloids. My visit with her they charged me $40 for the shot. I've never once had to pay for a cortisone shot, my insurance covers it 100%. But they gave me the shot without telling me before hand that they do not bill insurance for cortisone shots. When you walk out of the room she convinces you need all these products. You get to the receptionist counter and they start pulling out all the products you need. My product total came to $175. My 9 year old son, who was seen for a mild case of dry skin, had a total product bill of $150! They will ONLY validate your parking if you purchase her products. If you walk up just to buy product they will NOT validate your parking, even though I was spending over $100 in products. I was informed that in order to get validation you have to 1.have an appointment with the Dr. and 2.purchase her products.

We have spent over $1800, $700 on a simple wart removal, which after 3 visits is still on my daughter's knee. I think that Dr. Effron's office tries to keep you coming back, bill your insurance company as much as possible, until you just give up and go somewhere else. I plan to file an official complaint with the insurance commissioner as I have never had such an experience with a doctor's office. I spoke to her office manager, Jay Williams, who told me that he would discuss my issues with the doctor and get back to me...nearly two months later and no phone call back. I am very disappointed in this office and would not recommend that anyone go there.

I was under their care for about a year and they were not able to determine the cause of my wound not healing. Long Beach Medical was able to diagnose it after 2 months. Second, they first told me that they would not charge for transferring the medical records but they changed their minds later since I yelled at them for not sending the record in a timely manner. I refused to pay for the $30 charge and now they are erroneously reporting it as a debt collection. You decide if you want to deal with this type of medical office.

I have be going to Dr. Effron for about 14 years. Yes, sometimes I have to wait, but it is worth it. Her knowledge and expertise is well worth the wait. I've had numerous things done over the years. The Staff is very nice and helpful. I would not see any other dermatologist.

she always makes me wait 45 minutes or more, so i stopped going to her. she is not courteous, and doesn care if you are there or not. do not use her

This doctor exceeded my expectations. She was efficient but friendly. I think her standards are high. She answered my questions completely. I have special medical problems which she understood better than any dermatologist I have seen. And her staff was courteous and helpful.

Wow - I am suprised to see the "stupid comment." She went to Stanford for Undergraduate; USC for Medical School; and UCLA for her residency. Why do I know this? I've been a patient of Dr. Effron's for 12 years and I only wish that every doctor was as knowledgeable and passionate about Dermatology. I've said it before- I've had the works: moles removed (no scars), Adult Acne (Differin did wonders), Laser Hair Removal (it's still gone), Botox (always in moderation/"natural results"), and I've tried a number of fillers. She's incredible. She's honest, caring, and extremely dedicated to finding a solution. My guess (take it for what it's worth) is that she was looking into any type of health care product that either had an irritant and/or scents that the patient could easily switch from prior to performing an expensive (patient would have to pay for that) number of tests. Our bodies can be mysterious - and it takes time to figure out the issues at play. Dr. E is still the best!
