My daughter had an issue with one tooth that had not descended properly, but otherwise her teeth were near perfect. Dr. Lawless wanted to put her in a full set of braces for 18 months (and $6K). It was painful for him to admit that a much less intrusive approach would fix the problem. If your child has minor issues, be sure to ask a lot of questions about your options. My guess is that they push overtreatment for many people.
