I eventually lost all my teeth after about 3 years in braces, with this doctor. He did not know what he was doing. When he took off the braces, he said, "You now have periodontitis." This didn't register at the time, but he had moved my teeth too fast, and the roots shortened. He had asked me to have two healthy molars pulled. My trusted dentist said he advised against it, but did it at my request. Big mistake. Kottemann used a palate widener for my upper palate. That should only be used before puberty, not on someone in their later 20's. This also disrupted the roots of my teeth. A lot of mistakes were made. I have spent about 60k on these teeth issues, with a lot more expense in my future. I don't know if he improved, since then. I sure hope so.
