I had the opportunity to have Annette Johnson help deliver my first baby girl and it was a wonderful experience. I had never met her before, since I was planning a homevbirth and had a different midwife, but because I had been experiencing contractions for 2 days and my labor was not progressing, and being 1 week over due, we decided to go to IMC and got checked out and was able to get induced. Me and my husband had a birth plan just in case we needed to go to the hospital, and Annette Johnson and the nurses there were great respecting our wishes. I didn't want an episiotomy if it wasn't needed, wanted skin to skin with my baby right after birth if baby was healthy, and other things which they were able to do for us. She was nice and willing to understand were we were coming from, from wanting a natural home birth, and I was able to have a healthy 8 lbs 9 oz baby girl, I didn't need an episiotomy and didn't tear, and I'm a small woman (5'2"). My first delivery experience was great!
