Very happy to have found this office. Dr. Hambly is technically skilled - was able to do a repair which has lasted for years, whereas other dentists had tried and failed more than once. He takes time and care with his work, is thorough in his approach to patient safety, and provides a greater than average degree of oversight of his team's work. As another reviewer stated, I feel comfortable that he is not overzealous in his recommendations for dental work. Staff are all professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Office is modern, spacious, and technologically up-to-date with digital radiography.

Helpful dentist and staff, all friendly. They charge ODA rates, just like many others, dental work is just plain expensive everywhere.

I had a cleaning which I was not looking forward to, since an experience at another dental office with the"ultrasonic" had been uncomfortable with feeling sensitivity on my teeth that bordered on pain. I need not have worried; the cleaning at Dr Hambly's office felt very comfortable. Also...my 7 year old needed a filling for the very first time, and because her last immunizations had been quite painful, she now does not like needles. Dr Hambly's technique was so gentle that she never even realized she was getting an injection in her mouth when he injected the anesthetic. As far as she knew, as she lay with eyes closed and sunglasses on, he was just checking out her mouth, and months later she still does not know she actually had a needle in her mouth.

I noticed there are no recent reviews of Dr. Hambly. First the possible negatives, which there really isn't any, but I have referred friends/family to this practice and have been told that it's a little on the expensive side. I haven't noticed as I have coverage so I don't really care even if that's an accurate statement. That's it. I can't really say anything else negative about them. Dr Hambly doesn't do unnecessary work. He's knowledgeable and friendly. His staff are great to work with. I usually get the same Hygienist every time I go, but sometimes a different girl. I have a difficult set of teeth to work with and that results in some inflammation, but the cleanings are as pain free as possible given my difficult set of teeth. I have been going to Hamblys for a number of years now. They are punctual nearly all the time. If I have to wait, it's rare. They usually keep appointment times and I have rarely been asked to reschedule. All the staff are very very friendly. I would always recommend them. I have moved and they are further away and I found myself on RateMD because I was considering changing dentists simply for geographical convenience but reading other reviews of my options, and writing this review, has changed my mind and I will continue to drive the 45 minutes to see him. Plus his location is in a 'super center' for shopping. A number of large banks, Costco, grocery store, best buy, home depot, drugmart, chapters, is all here so that is an added convenience for doing chores while conserving travel time. Not sure what's up with the single star reviews with no comments.

The best. On time, explained everything. Great chair side manner. Superb sense of humour. The work was done exactly as explained and right on the estimate. Certainly was pain free.
