Busy but always willing to listen and not afraid to direct to a specialist. We have found him and staff to be extremely friendly even though they are busy.

He is an excellent doctor who lacks any sort of bedside manner. His communication skills are negligible, That is fine with me. I want expertise more than small talk or hand holding. However, his office staff (in 2018) are the rudest people in the health field that I have ever met. You are greeted with a closed, frosted window and a slew of handmade signs about what you cannot do. DO NOT KNOCK ON GLASS. DO NOT BOTHER RECEPTION. WAIT . I entered and waited in front of the window for 5 minutes without any acknowledgement. Finally I knocked, the window slid open, a receptionist admonished me saying "I see you. I am busy. Just wait". There were three women back there, supposedly working. I wondered if I was in some strange independent film or an alternate reality. The lack of empathy was unconscionable. Absolutely no concern for patient's discomfort and inability to stand motionless in front of the closed receptionist window . There was a chair but I was with my 90 year old mother. This cruel treatment of patients who are already suffering is the reason I will never return. And that is a shame because he is an excellent doctor.

I've had the misfortune of dealing with this guy a few times. This guy is never on time , never apologizes for being late (why bother to make an appointment?) When he speaks to you it's in a condecending tone, like your bothering him. Seems to be in a rush. The last appointment I had with him he was more concerned with the fact I hadn't been in to see him in a while (therefore he couldn't bill OHIP) Instead of looking after the issue i was bringing to his attention, My eyes water frequently and have some discharge. He briskly told me I had to go for blood work ( he checked off almost all the boxes on the blood work form) and be sure to book another appointment with him next week. I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time to see this guy for maybe 5 minutes and not get any medical advise anywhere on the issue I wanted addressed.
I am very familiar with the health system and have seen other doctors to compare this guy with. This "Dr." is not very good, the only reason I see him is my family doctor is an hour away. You might be advised to go to the emergency room rather than deal with this guy.

I appreciate his direct approach to my situation. He is not reluctant on referring my case to other professional resources when necessary.

HE is very helpful as listens and then gives his concise feedback. Some people might find this not to their liking as like to chat but I like to get to the point quickly .He impresses me as very knowledgeable but never give excellent in the survey as one is always learning especially in the Medical world therefore I would give him 4 1/2 out of 5. We have lived in China , Brazil, Argentina and U.S.A. plus been to 27 countries and are so proud of Canada and our Health care system. We feel very lucky when moved here in August 2018 to have the honour of being Clients of Dr. Paul Hanson.

not sure why he is licensed!1 sure we have Dr shortage,,but he is a pos rude, arrogant, prescribes the wrong meds..staff are not much better. Go back to windsor

Very rude and arrogant.
Wouldn’t listen to the patient .
Talked to the patient like they were stupid.
If this was the last Dr in Ontario I still wouldn’t use him for medical advice.
