My husband asked for Dr Tyrell after falling threw scaffolding. After being admitted he continued to complain about pain. Dr Tyrell was very rude! I requested to precede with M.R.I. , he refused and said he had looked at his cat scan and nothing was wrong. I checked my husband out and took him to surgeon at Vanderbilt. There they discovered he had a torn rotary cuff. Dr Tyrell was rude and obnoxious. After 38 years of marriage, I would think he would have listened.

Dr. Dana Tyrell treated me twice and was thorough and knowledgeable on both occasions. My first visit was a referral for a suspected inguinal hernia, and Dr. Tyrell examined me carefully and diagnosed the problem as muscle strain and soreness. The second occasion, he performed rectal surgery for a long-standing problem with a fistula. Again, I felt that I received thorough diagnosis and skilled treatment.If I need general surgery again, he will be my choice.

Dr. Tyrell removed my gall bladder 1 month ago. He was very professional and I recovered very well from the surgery that he performed. My scars are small and healing great. I am very pleased with his abilities.

Excellent surgeon. Compasionate, well trained, excellent bed side manner. A real pro. He operated on me twice and my wife once. We are very pleased with his services. The only downside is his office is very busy. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, that is understandable when you are such a high demand surgeon. He gets caught at the hospital often, mainly because he takes time with his patients! Great guy!
