I've been seeing Dr. Slamowitz for a little over a year. He is extremely attentive and takes his time during my appointments. I never feel rushed or that he isn't listening to my questions. It's fairly easy to get an appointment even though I know he has a lot of patients. His whole staff is kind and personable and his office is very comfortable.

Dr. Slamowitz is very knowledgeable. He really takes the time to get to know you and your situation. He is generally 5-10 minutes late for his appointments but that is much shorter than many other doctors I have been to and his expertise is definitely worth the wait.

The doctor is knowledgeable, however, the rest of his practice is a joke. They have deceptive practices regarding sleep studies, rental versus purchasing equipment, co-pays for what should be instructional visits and wouldn't include a copay. They cannot deliver an accurate billing statement. The office and their collection company (third party) are very out of touch with one another. The patient suffers. When you call, they are unable to explain details about billing. After nearly a year of many phone calls, letters, etc. I have more sleeplessness than prior to my initial visit with "Dr. Slam" and that is disturbing. Patient rip-off. Bill the insurance company as much as you can. Attempt to sell a unit to patients with huge mark-up and neglect to tell them they can rent to try??? Very poor medical practice. Please do not waste your time.

Dr. Slamowitz was able to successfully diagnose and treat my unusual form of sleep apnea. Other doctors had misdiagnosed my problem. He is a caring thoughtful person who did not skimp on the time he spent with me. His receptionist was friendly and happy to help me reschedule an appointment.

First mask they fit me w/ physically cut off the air supply through my nose. When I went in and told them the mask was suffocating me, they tightened the mask and sent me on my way. You should move on and find another sleep doctor. They make you wait 15 to 20 minutes to be seen even when you are the only one there, then the whole time you are with the doctor he is checking his watch. They have one goal at this office: to get as much money from you and your insurance company as possible. Horrible manner, doesn't remember anything about you, doesn't even look at the paperwork you fill out for each visit. If you go here, which you shouldn't, keep a close eye on the cpap supplies they send you. Again, main goal to bleed your insurance company dry. Don't even get me started on the pretend bio-feedback sessions. Overall not very helpful with my sleep problems.

Dr. Slamowitz seems to have a lot of knowledge about sleep issues and does a lot of testing, but after that, he is not much help. He has no bedside manner; he doesn't remember anything about you, he makes you wait 15-20 minutes at each visit but does not go late to make up for it. His medical hypnosis is completely impersonal and ineffective. He rushes the hypnosis to finish on time. He applies his methods to everyone the same, with a cold manner and without regard for your personal issues and he doesn't seem to even read your file. He doesn't remember specifics from your previous visit. I won't attend my other two appointments.

I visited Dr. Slamowitz many years ago so this rating is based on what I remember of him and his staff in 2000, 2001, and 2002. From what I remember, he seemed knowledgeable and helpful. My appointments with him were very helpful to me and my health!

The doctor is fairly competent. His back office is a nightmare. Cannot deliver an accurate billing statement that makes any sense. When you call, they are incapable of explaining what/why they are billing any amount. If referred RUN, Run away fast! I have spent 1+ years trying to reconcile these issues. When I addressed these issues with Dr. Slamowitz, he shut me down and stated that he did not deal with these issues, that was in fact why he hired the office staff. Incredible.
