I had an otoplasty with Dr Naficy a few months ago and unfortunately will get a revision elsewhere. Before surgery the tops of my ears stuck out and they were asymmetrical. After surgery I have a telephone deformity and continued asymmetry, one ear aches when I wear glasses and I have a protruding stitch behind one ear. It is a hard lump. Dr Naficy said it was a great improvement but for me it is not, it is just closer to my head and has worse contours. I'm cutting my losses and going to someone who specialises in ears. I have already had a consultation about it and was told the stitches are too close to the surface so once it is redone I should be able to wear my glasses normally again.

Last year I made a rash decision to have surgery with Dr Naficy for what I believed to be a straight forward rhinoplasty. We agreed on changes over the phone and 1 week later I met him on surgery day. I remember how rushed and flippant he was, and how he looked at me when I went to ask questions. Like I was saying something stupid? And how I said "So no nostril show remember" and he insisted "Oh just a bit" before he walked out of the room. I figured it was his job to make people look beautiful so I should agree with his judgement. In retrospect I realise he didn't bother asking me what I wanted because he was always going to do the kind of nose he does. 

The result of my surgery is embarrassing. It is twice as wide as used to be, and is very overstortened. It's as though the tip begins between my eyes and tapers out into a wide triangle shape. My nostrils used to be wider than my tip but now are in a straight line. It was swollen and fluctuating for about a year, due to all of the unnecessary work he did inside my nose. I have strut grafts, tip grafts and nostril rim grafts. He used up all of the cartilage inside my nose.

This month I will have a revision so I can hopefully put this behind me. The surgery is expected to take 5.5 hours and use my rib to rebuild it. It's going to be a full on surgery with overnight stay in a hospital. And I will require a balloon with some kind of fluid to be inside my body for 5 days to help heal the rib. It may require another surgery because of the risk of rib warping and also because "You can't push a car off a building and ask someone to build you a rolls royce". In addition to all of this I never even recieved a follow up phone call from Dr Naficy, and the details in my surgical report turned out to be innaccurate.

Beware this doctor.

Best Rhinoplasty Ever!!
This was the best decision I ever made. I have been going back and forth on my decision to have a rhinoplasty for years and I am so glad to have done it with dr naficy. The results are unbelievable and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. My nose looks exactly how I always wanted. Can't recommend him enough!!!!

I'm very pleased with the outcome of surgery which makes me look and feel brighter. My family was supportive which was helpful. It is important to know what to expect after surgery and that your team of care providers are available to answer questions while you heal. The cost was a worthwhile investment in my overall well being.
Dr. Naficy was recommended to me by a dermatologist. I researched his credentials and website and met for a consultation to visit about options, expectations and cost. My chief concerns were patient safety and how to achieve a fresh, natural appearance. Dr. Naficy was positive and thorough and I would highly recommend him to others exploring cosmetic procedures.

I've never much liked my profile whether in photos or if I caught a glance of my reflection. In fact "like" is a soft word...I hated my profile. I had a ski jump right in the middle of my bridge and it made me look angry and witch-like. I longed for a cute soft nose that would compliment my face so after mulling over the idea of a nose job for years I started down the path of finding the perfect surgeon in my area.

I landed on Sam Naficy and after visiting the clinic I knew I made the right choice. From the beginning they listened to all my concerns. They being the nurses and the surgeon himself. Everyone was so kind and you never felt like you were a business transaction but perhaps a very close relative. I'm not exaggerating, they make you feel so welcome and respected. Which was a huge load off my mind because I'm normally an anxious mess.

Lots of support 24/7 before and after the surgery. The nurse even held my hand before I went under because I hate being pricked with an IV. Everything was laid out for your recovery. Meds and care tips. No guessing games no googling. And if I needed assistance they were just a phone call away.

Today marks close to 7 months post op and my nose looks fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!! I healed fast and my promised nose is very present. I still have some swelling to come down on but as I look at my before and afters I am so pleased!!!!!! I wish I would have done this sooner. I'm glad I chose Naficy and his team. They are worth every penny. And yes, i would do this all over again but sooner ;)

The office staff and doctor were absolutely amazing. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in. They made my surgery day easy and kept my mom entertained while she waited. They provided all of the supplies and easy to follow instructions for post op care. I recommend using Dr. Naficy for procedures you are considering. My results are stunning!!!!

Got rhinoplasty and septo pasty with Dr Naficy.
Cosmetic results have been very transformative! Recovery wasn't too bad. After about the first week I was in a state that I could start working a few hours a day, and after 2 weeks I was back at work.
I breathing has also improved quite a bit. Although its not perfectly solved, but is still much better than before.
Kudos to Dr Naficy and his staff! Highly recommend if you can afford it.
Costs are certainly higher than other surgeons, but it's like buying an iPhone- you're paying for a premium experience and there're not many/any others around who operate at the same level excellence and experience.

I went to alot of effort to book a rhinoplasty with Dr Naficy. As an out of town patient i mistakenly settled for a consultation by phone before one more in person at the op. I loved many features about my nose and wanted to and tried to emphasise these to Dr Naficy. I took many photos to our meet but he told me to put them away and just explain what I wanted. I was always made to feel like I was making a bigger deal of the procedure than it was and always felt guilty for asking another question about it. I was naturally scared about the procedure. Dr Naficy didnt go through the risks of the procedure with me or how I might risk losing features of my nose that I currently like in the procedure. He didn't go through what the operation would involve. I always felt like I was pestering him when I asked him another question. I showed him (from his own patient's after photos) what I did NOT want for my nose. However it seems he gives everyone the same nose. I am so sad. I have lost everything that I used to like about my nose. Now it looks very fake and stick like. I feel suicidal. I wish to God that the warning bells went off everytime he shrugged me my questions off and told me I was over-worrying about something, or the time when I tried to show him photos and he acted like this was a stupid and time wasting thing to do. I miss who I was. I was beautiful. People always used to comment on my beauty. There was just one tiny bump that had been making me feel insecure. I wish to God that I had to learned to just love that bump as a part of me. I wish I hadn't put myself through the financial and physical expense of what I've been through. I find it hard to go on now. I was beautiful. my nose was the best thing about my face. I can't believe I paid someone to change it into something they like. Dr Naficy does one nose look. Look at his site and that's the nose you'll get. He did very extensive work within my nose (which I found out from the operative notes only) when I had been assured that it would be a minimally invasive procedure. Using open rhinoplasty instead of closed rhinoplasty when there was no tip work was also not worth it - my incision has been sore and the tip of my nose rock hard since the operation. He left my nostrils upturned because of where he chose to reattach the tip. I now have a short nose when I loved the length of my former nose. I used to look striking. My nose had been extremely straight in spite of a tiny bump. Now it curves a bit, and looks like stick from the front. My nostrils are narrow and pulled tight because of how he has reattached the tip, so my nostrils are now in one line with the rest of my nose, when they used to be wider than the rest of my nose. I look like I have a line for a nose. This procedure has made me want to hide away from the world now. I have spent so much money on this procedure - all my savings - I now have nothing left - and it breaks my heart to know that I spent all my savings for someone to rob me of me. I don't feel like myself any more. I feel fake. I look fake. I didn't want a new nose but that's what he's given me. I wanted MY nose just with a tiny bump shaved off. But he very easily included other changes which I asked him about doing but deep down didn't think were necessary. I realise now that he just does '1 nose' and that's all he was ever planning to do with me. I used to have a soft nose, the tip used to be round and low, the nose was striking and long. Now I have a short upturned nose, which looks very pointy because of the nostrils and reduced length. I look so different from the profiles that I used to adore. I have also aged myself considerably by this procedure - I used to always be told I had a youthful and beautiful face and now the darkness and loss of fat under my eyes and loss of skin elasticity around my eyes has aged me 10 years. I just wish he had gone through the risks.

I do not recommend Dr Naficy for rhinoplasty. Although my nose is stable, functioning and as symmetrical as before, it does not look good. We agreed to a natural and elegant result with imaging and yet the outcome was totally unexpected. Instead of removing the hump he projected and upturned my tip to cover the hump, the skin hides the hump like a tent. My nose now appears fat and undefined as the skin does not touch the hard cartilage in the lower part of my nose. My nostrils are long and upturned, and huge looking. He has now said I need to reverse the projection, derotate the tip and have osteotomies to get the outcome I originally wanted. He is also not interested in doing the revision despite not using the correct techniques the first time. Don't waste your money.
