When I was seventeen, Craig Wittenberg was living in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. I am from this town. It was 1993. He dated me for two months. I admit that I suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder during this time, as a result of his sexual assault on me in a movie theatre.

I would not have stayed if I had not been assaulted. Assault is very traumatising. Wittenberg was introduced to me by Mike Sears, an ex-boyfriend of mine. He thought of setting us up. Though Wittenberg was not my type, he pressed for me to date him and I agreed.

Wittenberg invited me over to his house twice. We attempted sex on the second occasion; due to his sexual priapism, it was impossible to have intercourse with him. He would sexual assault me on our first 'date'; we went to the then-open Paramount Theatre on Bernard Avenue.

The Unforgiven was playing. He then assaulted me by holding me down, pushing himself on me, choking me, and holding down my arms. This assault lasted forty-five minutes. He grabbed me out of nowhere and thrust himself upon me, pushing me down into the barrel of the seat.

He then held my hands down and forced my head into a forty-five degree angle with his hands. He used his legs and force to keep me down. He never penetrated me sexually but choked me and forced his tongue down my throat several times, to the point I nearly choked three times in addition to the attempted choking.

Wittenberg rubbed against me several times. He held my hands down when I attempted to wrestle free from him. My head ached for two weeks and he nearly caused permanent damage to my lower neck.

I did not report the crime as I was suffering from shock after this episode, I was seventeen, sexual assault is not taken seriously in Canada, and I had been dating/attempting to have sex with him early on. The justice system of Canada likes to use facts about victims against them, no matter how obscure or innocent.

I then dated Wittenberg; he told his ex-girlfriend about our private dating arrangements each time I made plans. She showed up on seven of our eight dates with false excuses. He would kiss and hug her, claim she was a friend, and just visited until I confronted him. Then he admitted they had dated a few years before.

Wittenberg intimidated my ex-boyfriend, Mike Sears, and made threats if he spoke about his behaviour. Sears was concerned about his attitude towards me. When I broke up with him, Sears had to tell him in order for me to avoid his explosive temper. He then spread rumours for two months that I used him for sex.

Wittenberg assaults women because he cannot sexually function, and at the core of it, blames women for his sexual priapism. He was warned by doctors not to have an erection or to get surgery. Three times he ended up at the ward by his own actions and had to be pumped, medicated, needled, and drained by vacuum as he cannot ejaculate due to this condition but gets erect quickly and permanently. No, intercourse is not required for sexual assault and rape to occur. He was not capable of intercourse due to his size and condition. He went up at a 210 degree angle, was twelve inches long, and three inches wide. He was insurmountable.

Wittenberg has not been successful in relationships with women. He blames them and me for it. He attended UBCO Vancouver and obtained a science degree. He then went to Seattle-based Washington State Medical School. He graduated with a medical degree in the early 2000s and has clinics in Vancouver, Sioux City, and Seattle. He is a plastic surgeon.

Wittenberg is dangerous and sociopathic. So is his mother, Sheila Wittenberg, who works at Spring Valley Care Home on Terai/Ziprick in Kelowna. He should be prosecuted for his crimes. If you are a victim, please come forward.
