He is the best doctor, he is so patient and caring person, me and my family are so happy to having him as a doctor.

Dr. Samrai is very rude and will rush you out of his office. He is not very knowledgeable as he uses the computer database to diagnose. Please avoid.

They have definitely deleted all bad reviews for Gurinder Samrai. I refuse to call this man a doctor. Spent over 2 years finding a new doctor for my spouse as Gurinder took some sort of unidentified leave for over 2 years leaving his patients in the care of walk in clinics. His admin is very rude. When my spouse called to inquire about getting a rabbies vaccine after being bitten by a rat at work he was again sent to a walk in clinic and almost laughed at for inquiring about seeing Gurinder Samrai as his patients should know; he's still on an unidentified leave. Usually doctors will have a locum doctor or some sort of health provider set up for their patients when on prolonged leave, not Gurinder. My spouse has ADHD, so before Gurinder's leave he was perscribed a VERY high dose of adderal, after prolonged use with no follow up appointment or check in from Gurinder the pills caused stomach issues and extreme weightloss, ultimately ending with my spouse taking themself off the prescription; regardless of having the choice to refill without a follow up appointment. Took 4 appointments with Gurinder to actually be sent for tests regarding the stomach issues, which he brushed off as IBS and denied was caused by his prescription. Wonder how long my review will be up before being deleted by his rude admin 😋 very thankful to have found my spouse a new doctor in Ottawa and would strongly recommend his remaining patients to look elsewhere for care.

I really do believe they removed all the bad reviews because if you actually search for the reviews you will find the real ones, this man should not be a doctor at all, he has absolutely no knowledge at what he does, completely incompetent, he ruined my health with some of the pills he gave me, you would see him for an issue and first thing he does is give you a prescription for pills without further investigating what the issue is, he’s very dangerous, he misdiagnosed me so many times. He should be investigated as soon as possible and lose his medical license because there’s no way a doctor can be this dangerous and incompetent. Plz run the other side

Dr Samrai is an extremely kind and compassionate physician. I've been a patient of his for over 10 years and he's always taken the time to hear me out and help me to the best of his abilities.

Extremely thankful and appreciative for the care he's provided me over the years. He's a true professional.

I have been a patient of Dr. G. Samurai for a long time now. I want to thank Dr. Samurai and his Secretary/ Assistant for all they have done for me during this pandemic and for going above and beyond during a stressful time while Dr. Samurai was off on personal leave. I wish Dr. Samurai all he best and am looking forward to his return but only on his terms. Dr. Samurai has been an amazing Doctor and he has been professional and I feel lucky to have had him during these trying times.Thank you Dr. Samurai and your Secretary/ Assistant.

Dr. Samrai has been absent now for over a year. His office is unable or unwilling to tell us what's happened, and when asked when he'll return, they have no information to share.

Prior to his departure, Dr. Samrai was adequate, especially when compared with the alternative, which was not having a doctor at all. He was typically quick to accept whatever explanation I myself provided for what might be wrong, and largely uninterested in exploring most problems beyond a face-value examination. To date I have several chronic health conditions that I've sought his help with that he's been unable to provide any meaningful insight into or treatment for.

He's never performed a physical on me, even when I mentioned early on in my time with him that I was used to getting them yearly. I've been seeing him for 7 years - well, 6 if don't include this last year. his response was that I was young and healthy, and that it shouldn't be necessary.

In short, I don't feel seen by Dr. Samrai, figuratively or literally, and I feel his motivation as a doctor isn't the health or wellbeing of his patients, so much as it is keeping things as simple for himself as possible.

If he's your doctor, and he becomes available again in the future, be prepared to advocate for yourself in all regards for your health.

I miss Dr. Samrai he has been on leave for a while and is a wonderful doctor. He has been attentive, patient, understanding and intuitive. I feel respected by him and we work together to discuss treatment options, both holistic and if required medicative. I value his expertise and have had him as a doctor since he was operating out of Innes Road.

Dr Samrai is attentive, thoughful and caring. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and suggests solutions instead of trying to rush me out of his office (like my last doctor), I could not ask for a better doctor.
