This is a horrible doctor. He misdiagnosed my father for years. He diacussed my fathers file over the phone in front of another patient! Completely unprodessional! Prescribes Tylenol for everything. My father walked in and asked Dr. Tung to call him an ambulance because my father thought he was having a heart attack. Dr. Tung refused to call an ambulance. Horrible horrible human being and horrible horrible Dr.

I am seeing Dr. Tung since 1995 and he is an excellent service provider. His only weakness is that he is so helpful that sometimes he takes patients in instead of directing them to walk in clinic or hospital (especially seniors) and thus his generosity becomes headache to other patients who come for appointment. People might say Dr. Tung is after money, I feel that could be a misconception as he was born with lot of money and he has no where to spend that money. His generosity is his weakness. He is very knowledgeable and down to earth person and listen to every patient with great respect and feel pain in patient's pain. I like him and will remain with him for rest of my life.

My family has known Dr. Tung for many years. He has been the family doctor for both mine, and my uncle's family for nearly a decade. The problem with him is that he has always been a anti-doctor in a way. Many times, he brings patients in without them having appointments scheduled. It's gotten to a point where they put a sign up disallowing Dr. Tung from doing this. He will listen to you for moments, but will frequently blow off your symptoms. This is evidenced by patients consistently complaining that he does not listen, which is a discussion every time among patients in his office. His prescriptions are on and off in their effectiveness. They are sometimes correct, sometimes unnecessary, but always pricey, as he (smart business move) refers to high priced prescriptions, to the benefit of the connected pharmacy. Although I haven't asked him for cheaper ones, I have asked him for the prices when he prescribes, and he says, "Don't worry (my name), your dad is rich." Dr. Tung knows my dad and our family are not. He is also so preoccupied with other things, that he forgets he is a doctor. 78.43% of the time (real statistics), he sends a student in to check the patient, while he chats it up with another patient. The other thing he is preoccupied with is politics. Everytime election time in BC comes, our Liberal uncle/doctor/person Dr. Tung mass promotes himself with business cards...during the appointment. Every patient is handed his politician card in the room while they're checking him out, as he tells us to vote for him. Politics should not be discussed while I'm trying to tell him about a very personal health problem. Above all, no matter how much I trust him, I know that Dr. Tung is focused almost solely on dollar signs, rather than being an actual doctor. No matter how great of a human being he is, this man puts money over everything. That trust however, immediately begins to disappear, as I realised the two specialists he has referred me to, are both his friends, working side by side. They both are evidently qualified, a la their medical licenses, but both have made almost dangerous, erroneous mistakes in MY, not someone else's, situation. I conclude this with one point: Trust Dr. Tung, but do not let him: (A) choose a specialist to send you to (research those available, and choose yourself) (B) bring politics into your visit, and (C) drift into discussion of other topics. Follow these steps, and Dr. Tung will be an excellent, 4 star doctor at a minimum. Otherwise, you might be in for 'interesting' visits for the long haul.

This doctor's only objective is to make money. Had him for few years but then finally gave up since he had no respect for patient privacy and poor hygiene at the clinic. As earlier reviewer indicated he just wants to write the prescription and send you off. He only opened for 4 hours because he was able to meet his daily quota of patients before government would stop payment for additional patients. Would not recommend him to anyone.

I have been Dr. Tung's Patient for over 17 years now and he's a great Dr...And took Good Care Of my family.. And delivered 3 of my own Children. Even though He is Extremely Busy at times and has to Run or doesn't have the time. He will make it up to you on the next visit. And for those who feel like writing negative things about Him... Let me say this: He was the only Dr. that came to our home when we came in Bc,, and after Hours.. even brought us pizza... I will never forget that night.. We were hungry... Dr. Tung was there. Thank you so Much Dr. Tung... God Bless you.
