This doctor is rude and unsympathetic, especially toward the elderly. He cares nothing about those in nursing home. You won't like him upon your first appt. His front reception area is almost always caotic and one receptionist extremely rude. Nothing at the front desk is kept quiet and confidential. If you like everyone knowing your business, if you are on welfare or be snapped at - this is the place for you..

My orginal doctor was not on staff at the Spirit Lake emergency clinic. I was having heart pains and my previous doctor said I needed a stent put in and that was all. Dr Goress was there to take my case and he promptly contacted the family and thru listening to the comments of the family history of heart disease, he immediately made the decision it was more critical and had me transported immediately to Mckennon Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota that had their own heart facilities. I had open heart surgery the next morning and had triple by passes. The surgeon said I would be dead in another day if the doctor in Spirit Lake had not moved so quickly. Dr. Goerss became my physician from then on and he is so thorough and compassionate. He is truly a great doctor in my opinion.
