After several years of migraines and neck pain, I was referred to Dr. Ferguson he took the time to listen to all of my symptoms over a lifetime. His treatment and compassion helped to alleviate a lot of the pain because he made you feel that you were the only patient that day. I highly recommended him to my own mother and husband when they needed to see a neurologist. He is one of the best doctors I have ever been to or even worked with as a nurse for over thirty years. Not only did I get treated exceptional from Dr. Ferguson, but his staff as well. Stephanie and April are very conscientious with their jobs, but always seem to find the time to make you feel that they enjoy taking care of you. I used to hate going to doctors because of the wait time and the rush of care, now I look forward to seeing all the staff there.

On my first visit I thought that Dr Ferguson was going to be a great fit for me. I quickly realized I was mistaken. Like the previous patient, he too was dismissive and uncaring. Any symptom I had that was atypical he attributed to my Bipolar Disorder. Bipolar doesn't mean crazy nor does it make my MS less real. So grateful that I have had a 2nd neurologist at WVU. I fired Dr Ferguson (after I. Told him how substandard and uncaring his care had been) and have been receiving my care exclusively at WVU ever since. Now I am getting top notch care. It's certainly worth the drive.

Dr. Ferguson seemed to be very uncaring about my physical health. In fact, I feel he discriminates against those with mental health issues. I have several problems affecting my physical health, to include peripheral neuropathy (never took the time to determine where it may stem from) Radiculopathy, Stenosis, Fibromyalgia, Schmorls nodes, and many more; however Dr. Ferguson's response to me was "We know you are Bipolar". Now does that sound like a doctor who cares about his patients. I saw him one time and he never took the time to ask about my symptoms, he never explained anything, and chalked all my symptoms up to Bipolar!

The best! I've been to many doctors over the past 2 years and he is the only one that cared and listened to my concerns. He went above and beyond what he had to in order to help improve my health in order to have more good days and continue normal daily activities. I would give anything to have him back in North Carolina.
