Great dentist, patient, honest, doesn't do anything unless it is required....explains what he is doing

I have been to a number of dentists and other health care professionals over the years and I have never been treated so completely professionally. Some office are all about trying to sell you on whitening or other unnecessary stuff. Not so here. I got a thorough examination and a great cleaning, and then the doctor spent time with me going over my teeth and mouth. I never felt any pressure but I did walk away with a much better understanding about my teeth and their function. It turns out a lot of the stuff I was told I needed at my previous dentist was as I suspected not necessary. Dr. Seminara gave me a reasonable treatment plan that solves the problems I have without overdoing it. Also, I have to mention the great staff, especially his assistant.

Wonderful service. Excellent dentist. And his staff very helpful and kind. Honestly my advice don't judge with out knowing they are services. Visit and you can judge.

Dr. Anthony Seminara is a compassionate dentist, who places his patients first. My husband had a dental emergency, and Dr. Seminara took the time to see him, and most importantly, took the time necessary to perform a difficult extraction. His professionalism, his manner, his dedication all top notch. Thank you so much.

Great experience with this doctor. He took over the practice of my previous dentist, who I had for 20+ years. My first visit with him was to finish a root canal the previous dentist diagnosed. It went very well, no pain during or after. Later I came for a crown. This was important to get right because it was right up front. Well after today I can say that it looks like my real tooth and feels like it did before all this treatment started.
I was lucky with my last dentist, and now I think the luck will continue

Most horrible dentist experience for me and my husband. I had been patient for 9 years to this clinic. Unfortunately the previous dentist retired and gave his clinic and his patients to Dr Seminara. We, the patients, started running away from the clinic - thus being obliged to look for other dentists. Manners of Dr Seminara are rude, he couldn't do 1 simple night guard piece for me during 4 months. Initially he was unable to take proper molds of my teeth, after that the mouth guards he was offering me were extremely uncomfortable and hurting. I sleep with a mouth guard for a decade already and never had these problems before.
I also have a crown which is poorly made and Dr Seminara promised in front of his predecessor, while he was still working under his supervision, that he will take care of my crown, that he will not charge me money to replace it. During 1.5 years I kept complaining of bad smell coming from underneath this crown while flossing. Dr Seminara waited till the previous doctor left for good and then he declared to me that he wouldn't do anything about the crown. He sent me to one of his friends - gum specialist - to cut part of my gum. He said it would cost me only several hundred dollars the visit to his friend. One and a half year ago - I paid for this crown 1780.00 CAD $ and ever since I reported the bacteria smell while flossing. In the beginning Dr Seminara agreed these were bacterias and he prescribed me a mouthwash, made specially to clean bacteria. After that - when I said the problem was not solved - he said there were no bacteria and he was not able to help me more. So - I am 1780 CAD$ in loss and I am afraid for my tooth.
On top of that Dr Seminara accused me of not having paid my mouth guard. Which, as matter in fact, I did pay during my first visit. The mistake was that he had forgotten (exactly that day) to put a notice in my file that I had visited his office. I proved the payment with the bill, the secretary excused herself, however Dr Seminara kept looking at me as if I was intending to rob him. Shame!!! For 9 years I never went out of this clinic taking something on credit or not paying my full bill.
I asked him to return me the money for the mouth peace because none of his jobs was good. He threw me a check for my money and left.
My husband went to his appointment with Dr Seminara, which was previously scheduled. He was told by Dr Seminara he needed only a small filling. He did the filling and during 2 weeks he had terrible pain and was continuously on Ibuprofen and other painkillers from that ¨repaired¨ tooth. After that he saw another doctor who explained to him that Dr Seminara had dug a deeper than the necessary hole in his tooth. He called Dr Seminara and the he referred to him to another one of his friends - a young root canal doctor. My husband had to do a root canal, he did it elsewhere of course, however he suffered terrible pain during his vacation, he was not reimbursed by Dr Seminara and most of all - he lost a completely healthy tooth.
No need to be a dentist to know that if the hole is too deep, Dr Seminara should have tested the root nerves with hot and cold in order to verify if the tooth is due for a root canal. Instead - he closed the tooth and he took the money, just to make it up for the mouth guard money that he had to return to me.
The previous owner of this clinic was a nice gentleman, he left to Dr Seminara all his patients, all his stuff, all his equipment, the whole clinic. Dr Seminara reached to the point of telling me : ¨I do not know this man, he is nothing to me¨. And he did that in the present of his assistant Shamy, who was also assistant of the previous doctor. I was dismayed by such a disrespect, poor work and aggressive behavior.
All my friends and colleagues are advised not to go to him, they would be just ripped off with their problems not solved at all. Too sad that people like this doctor get to practice and destroy their clients' teeth and confidence.

Dr. Seminara is phenomenal. He is very personable, explanatory, professional, and really takes his time. He answered all my questions without even having to ask. That's how thorough he was. I felt comfortable from start to finish. I will definitely be going back.

Dr Seminara is a kind and patient dentist willing to listen and spend the time with his patients to do a good job. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, and conservative in his work!
