She basically said something that meant that OHIP patients don't get her paid well so should not expect too much.

I saw her at the Canadian dermatology center, she's covering for my derm who's on mat leave. I read these comments before going and almost cancelled lol. Was she the best derm I've ever seen? No. Could her bed side manner have been a bit better? Yeah. But I had no issues with her overall. I got to the clinic 10 mins early and was immediately put into a room, she came 5 mins later. So I was actually seen before my booked time - basically no waiting. She looked over my file thoroughly since she didn't know me, and she did what I felt was a pretty good exam of my skin. Gave me the meds I needed, and then left. Overall I was happy with how it went.

She was very late and when I got to see her, I spent 2 minutes with her before she expected for me to leave. Just talked quickly and gave me a prescription. I felt I was some quick transaction for her to make. She is proud and condescending as other comments noted. I would not recommend!

She was late to my consultation after already 50 minutes of waiting in the waiting room itself. Read me a whole google article on my diagnosis when I could have read it myself. My consultation lasted like 10 minutes, and when I asked her if I could ask another question, she was like "I am running late and have to go". My family doctor referred me to her because she was looking for more patients but it doesn't even seem she has the time for new ones so I don't really understand what that's about. Not to mention, she prescribed me medicine but did not even give me prescription to get it from my pharmacy. Definitely not worth my hour drive for a 10 minute consultation!

Do not go to her. She is late to appointments, messes up prescriptions constantly and does not know any of your information. Have had constant issues. wrong prescriptions sent to my pharmacy which resulted in me paying out of pocket.Asks me the same questions during our appointments which should be already on file.. called me the wrong name. Does not seem to review lab results. Seems to have no clue who you are after months of routine appointments. Completely unprofessional!

Wait longer than actual consultation. Speaks softly, and portrays an indifference to your problem. Seems like she wants you out the door as quick as possible.

I was referred to Dr. Wong and have had two appointments which were both on time and I was very satisfied. Very attentive and provided a great overview of the possible treatments and a wellness plan. I have had very good results, and highly recommend this doctor.

I just brought my daughter to see Dr. Maxine Wong today. Our experience was terrible. We came to the clinic 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time to be punctuate. We were asked to wait for more than 50 minutes after the scheduled time. Dr. Maxine Wong was very condescending when she talked to us. The entire consultation was less than 15 minutes and she seemed to be in a big rush. Dr. Maxine Wong herself told me that she had an extra surgery and that's why she was so late. As we all know the surgeries performed in dermatology/plastic clinics are all scheduled and there is no emergency surgery. It's unbelievable that they didn't even inform us about the change of schedule and wasted so much of our time. She spoke in a low voice and that makes it hard to hear and understand. She was quite impatient. When she asked me if I had anymore questions, I asked what the potential side effects of the treatment she recommended could be. She seemed to be really annoyed and said she told me twice already, which was not true. She might slurred those words once during our conversation, but it was not very clear to me. I asked because as a mother I need to be responsible and make sure that I understand all risks and benefit of the treatment. The information she gave us was no better than what we could find from Google.

I want give her zero star here if I can. Worst doctor!! Unprofessional !!She did not care about what you have to say, even did not check how was your wound. She just answer you "I don't know" when your ask her every question. Very bad experience my son had while attending her appointment. My son's feet problem is getting worse after treated by her. I am finding other professional dermatologist for him now. My recommendation is: Tell you family doctor to avoid referrals to Dr. Maxine Yat Wing Wong!

I like her as a Dr. She was kind and very helpful, however she is now with a outfit called "Grand Health" in Richmond Hill. Had to wait 75 min AFTER my appointment time! Also booking is cumbersome to say the least. The require email confirmation which comes with a $150 fee threat if you miss the appointment. (I understand the fee, just the whole email and double confirmation and 3 phone calls - and they could not find me when I replied via email)
Grand Health is not grand. I have spoken to others on the way out and they had similar experiences. Waiting room was packed. They also let another patient in before me after he whined and treated to re-shedule. Grand Health is run like a cattle farm, not a medical facility that cares.
