I was very very impressed with Dr. Somani. I know I was lucky to have good news with my procedure but he was great. I was at his office twice and then at the hospital for a colonoscopy. He respected how nervous I was and told me would be honest with whatever he found. The team in the room were great and it was easy to see the respect everyone had for each other. He is thorough, caring and respectful. I am so glad a friend recommended him.

He is one of the best I have ever had , he did an emergency colostomy surgery on me. He was very friendly , and honest told it like it is and that is what i like in a doctor , He was always on time for his hospital visits and always the same time each day. You never had to sit long in his office before seeing him and his staff were extremely friendly and efficient .

He is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. He takes the time to listen to his patients and is kind and compassionate. His bed side manner is the best I've ever experienced! I have never felt more welcome in a dr's office then when I walk into to his and am greeted by his wonderful receptionist who is always happy to see the patients.

We credit this man for saving my fathers life he had a perforated bowel and was close to dying ,,this amn assembled his team within half an hour and performed an five hour surgery that could have gone so wrong..he came to us immediately after surgery explained everything he had done and what to expect afterwards ..he was in everyday to see my dad and answer any questions we had ..he has taken excellent care of my father and i would recommend him to everyone with any kind of bowel issue.. he is very professional and informative but alsdo very personable ..we have complete faith and trust in this man

Had a surgery with him to repair a hernia which I was pleased with. Found him to be very informative, caring, and professional, Had a minor issue afterwards which was taken care of, and a good follow up appointment. Theresa was excellent also. Overall a positive experience and would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Somani is an excellent Doctor that make himself available and he really cares about his patient. He is not the kind of doctor that rush you in and rush you out. His patients well being is his priority...
He explained to me everything so I can understand and he answered all my questions clearly.
I was referred to Dr Somani by my Family Doctor for a Colonoscopy first, then while I was in the office for my first appointment with him, my family doctor contacted him about gallstones, an infected and inflame gallbladder that he saw from a test I had the week before .
He reviewed my file right away and did not wait any longer and admitted me right away to the hospital for treatments before it gets worst....
He made sure I had the best doctor(Dr Menard) in Kingston to insert a drainage tube in my gallbladder to drain the bile and help the infections. After the infections was better he removed the gallbladder and the operation was a success.
After the surgery he did a colonoscopy and again he was excellent before and after the procedure...
I would highly recommend Dr Somany to anyone.
Theresa is secretary is very professional and make you comfortable as soon as you're walking in the office.
Thank you for your help and if I ever have any more tummy trouble, he is first on my list to call..

I was sent to Dr Somai by my family doctor for an issue with anal fissures. He was mostly personable and kind to me but I didn't get amazing care from him. I'd had issues with fissures for the last 5 years or so. His solution was a botox treatment to paralyze the muscle which cost me $500 out of pocket as I had to get the botox on my own. Insurance wouldn't touch it. The thing is I had scar tissue from so many years of fissures that the botox did alleviate things but it wears off and the scarring is still there. The thing is the surgery to fix fissures (LIS) is very simple to do. Very confused he couldn't have just done that.

His assistant was wonderful and extremely extremely kind to me. I often would leave a voicemail after hours and she ALWAYS called me back. I thank her for getting me the referral to Dr Belliveau in Kingston that fixed my problem.

Dr. Somani is an absolutely excellent Doctor. He has performed a triple hernia operation and a laparoscopic gall bladder operation on me with great results. He is a very warm caring doctor and also very, very professional. I have full confidence in him and would highly recommend him to anyone. He was available for consultation whenever needed and always with no hesitation. Theresa in the office is also very professional and highly efficient. We are extremely fortunate to have such a talented and caring Doctor in the Brockville area and I am hoping he stays with us for many years. I was also very impressed with the Brockville General Hospital both the facility and the staff good facility. GJ

Absolutely one of the best doctors I have dealt with. He does come across as shy when you first meet him but he is reserved until he gets to know you. He goes above and beyond to help his patients. I highly recommend him

I was referred to Dr. Somani by my family doctor to perform my umbilical hernia surgery. At the first consultation meeting my initial impression of him was of utter arrogance. As the consultation continued it seemed as if he was more interested in bragging about his accomplishments than listening to what symptoms I had been experiencing. Upon further investigation after I left the appointment I discovered the only thing he has really accomplished is finishing his education and has no real credentials beyond that. The surgery was a total mess, he did nothing to fix the hernia and I ended up with serious infection after, which he did nothing to help treat and I ended up in emergency withing days of the surgery to have it treated. I just finished having a second surgery to correct what he couldn't and to top it all off the new surgeon informed me there was no evidence of any previous hernia repair whatsoever. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN!!!! He's dangerous and not worth the risk.
