Jonathan was both so knowledgeable and so professional. He had a great bedside manner. He didn’t try to just immediately treat me. He tried to figure out what was going on! For any problem I have moving forward, Jonathan Hartman will be the first call I make every time

I had been to a couple of different Chiropractors, and Dr Hartman was the first who listened to me describe my symptoms, physically evaluated me, and then decided to send me for a neurological consultation before he would treat me. In my experience it's extremely rare for a health care provider to be as measured and conservative. Dr Hartman was in constant communication with my neurologist, and after my consultation they worked in concert to put together a plan for my treatment that ultimately got me back to where I want to be both physically and mentally.

On my first visit spent almost two hours just understanding and discussing the issue. Dr. Hartman has extensive sports knowledge and is it's unbelievably helpful to have someone that truly understands and practices sports (in my case running, hiking, climbing, snowboarding etc) to help your best performance. From the time I walked the staff is friendly, knows who you are and makes you feel like it's a unified team that's treating to you and they're talking to each other...a real differentiatior these days. Strongly recommend... And this is only my third visit. The facility and told are super modern and I really understand now what a doctor should be.. This is my new standard.

I have nothing but raves for Dr. Hartman and the entire staff at Third Space Medical and that includes the receptionists. They always greet with a smile, they remember your name and they are really involved with improving your life. They not only treat the condition you originally came in for but they look to better your whole condition.

Last year when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, while I was relieved to learn that I didn't have cancer, I still had the feeling of a slow death sentence, an illness little known to me, and of not being in control of my health, in addition to a host of other concerns.

The only time I got a little relief from FM, was when I took non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and that was pretty much all the time. Yet in spite of taking ibuprofen I was always in pain. I rarely slept as the pain was so intense, it would keep me up all night. I also worried about what the ibuprofen would do to my stomach.

One time, over dinner with friends, with tears in my eyes, I was emboldened enough to tell them about my condition. As to be expected, my friends were very sympathetic, but at a loss as to what to reply. After all, FM is like a slow death sentence.

But lo and behold, the next day I received an email from one of my friends telling me about Third Space Medical, and how they had helped her with a debilitating pain she'd suffered as a result of an accident. I kindly thanked my friend for her suggestion, and promised to give them a call.

That was a Monday. I went in on Thursday and I was seen by Dr. Jonathan immediately. He took the time to listen to me and did a thorough evaluation of my condition. For some reason, I trusted Dr. Hartman when he promised to do everything in his power to get me up and moving again.

The following week I started therapy at the FSM clinic in Ridgewood Ave. I would see Lisa, the PA, for muscle relaxants containing all natural drugs. After the muscle relaxants, I would follow with chiropractic manipulation by Dr. Jon, or vice-versa, and then with physical therapy in the adjacent room.

Wow, this clinic offered everything I needed to get better and all within walking steps! I was also impressed with the kind and friendly staff, who do their best to make every patient feel special. Not only do they treat you medically, they also treat you as part of their family; and they always do so with a kind word and a smile on their face.

It's been almost two months that I've been going to Third Space Medical and I can't say enough good things about this place and their professional staff. I highly recommend this place to anyone suffering from any type of pain. In my case they were Godsend--I had altogether given up on my case and had resigned myself to whatever years I had left, in pain and misery. I cried in silence whenever I thought about my 'death sentence'. But thank God the staff at TSM gave me a new lease on life.

Dr. Jon explained that FM is basically pain which doctors haven't been able to identify its source. Pain can stem from any number of things: celiac from gluten foods, glucose intolerance, long-term injury that hasn't been treated properly (or not treated at all), and/or a host of other triggers. TSM's aim is to get to the root of your pain at their state-of-the-art facility through the use of all-natural muscle relaxants and up-to-the-minute chiropractic care, in conjunction with highly trained physical therapists who work closely with their patients to attain their optimal health.

I feel 75 percent better then when I first came to TSM. I'm experiencing much less pain, much more mobility and flexibility, and about a 50 percent increase in energy levels. But more importantly, I don't see my condition as a death sentence anymore. I have renewed hope that with the right diet, continued exercise, and positive outlook, I can achieve a long and healthy life.

Sincerely
Sylvia Rivera.

Thanks to Dr. Jonathan Hartman I am able once again to enjoy life with no restrictions. I have not felt this good in years! I am virtually pain free and loving it. Biography

Director of Chiropractic Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board Certified IronMan and Active Release Techniques Provider In January 2017, I completed a post-doctorate in neurology and became board certified with Diplomate status from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. During that past year, 39 individuals worldwide completed the requirements for this Neurology Diplomate and I am honored to be one of them. Many of you may not be familiar with chiropractic neurology, so I wanted to extend this opportunity to provide some information regarding this unique methodology. A chiropractic neurologist is a highly trained and qualified expert of the brain, spine, and nervous system. As in medicine, the chiropractic profession also has specialists who provide evaluations and second opinions for other physicians in healthcare. I use the patient’s body and environment to assess, diagnose and localize areas of dysfunction. The systems of the human body are constantly affecting the neurological system and being effected by the neurological system. As a chiropractic neurologist, I employ this functional and holistic approach to target interventions specific to the location of the dysfunction. You may be asking yourself, “how’s a chiropractic neurologist different than a medical neurologist or neurosurgeon?” We’re all very different; a medical neurologist will prescribe medications. The neurosurgeon uses surgery to correct a condition. The chiropractic neurologist uses medication-free and non-surgical treatment methods. Many brain and nervous system diseases do not respond well to (are not effectively treated by) intervention via medication and surgery. Therefore, I fill a very unique and significant role in treating these disorders using safe and effective methods producing lasting health benefits. I treat all of the conditions normally seen by chiropractors, such as pain from injuries caused by lifting, sports injuries, falls, etc. Additional conditions that may be addressed through chiropractic neurology are: Vertigo Headaches and chronic pain Head injury or stroke Spinal cord and nerve injuries Movement disorders Balance disorders Learning and Attention disorders Dyslexia Thyroid conditions Diabetic neuropathy My expertise is in discovering subtle changes in the function of the brain and nervous system. With these diagnostic skills, I am able to better serve you and offer effective treatment options that do not involve the use of medication or surgery. The chiropractic neurologist uses the muscular skeletal system and the sensory systems as they interact with the neurological system to improve quality of life. I use a variety of treatment modalities including the technique of adjustments as well as other sensory-based modalities to bring about improvements in health. If you or a loved one is experiencing a condition that is in any way related to the brain or nervous system, I encourage you to explore chiropractic neurology as a new hope for successful treatment. Dr. Hartman is also a board-certified Diplomat of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. He is an honors graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic. He continued to expand his outstanding academic pursuits through specialized training and certification in Active Release Technique and Manual Adhesion Release, two of the most advanced soft-tissue treatments used today to break down scar tissue and adhesion formation. Dr. Hartman was the youngest chiropractor in the country to complete the diplomate program for rehabilitation. Dr. Hartman is dedicated to the advancement of treatment in musculoskeletal disorders. He continues to pursue advanced training in sports injury and rehabilitation in addition to nutrition. With Dr. Hartman’s refined skill set, he has been able to offer a comprehensive array of treatment options supported by the latest scientific research. He is also a certified IronMan Provider. Dr. Hartman is also a contributing writer and speaker for local newspapers and organizations. Dr. Hartman is locally involved with volunteer work with high school sports events. In his personal life, he enjoys traveling, backpacking, CrossFit, and spending time with his family. Dr. Hartman is a voracious reader with a particular interest in neurology, anthropological evolution and nutrition.
