Went to see dr walsh . Wow what a rude man. He did a cervical biopsy and said he could tell just by looking that I did not have cancer. He must be really good. I had been having unusual dark discharge With a history of hpv.and was concerned. His reaction was..you and everyone else. He told me the best advice he could give, was to stay away from drs and medicine. Why is he a dr working in a hospital? He wanted me to be a partner in my care. I am all for that. But he fails to give any info. Would never go back...he was annoyed the minute he walked in the room.

I have been happy with the other Dr's and the nurse practitioner in this practice but had my first obstetric visit with Dr. Walsh at 37 weeks. He was incredibly rude and borderline unprofessional with my husband and I once I asked that he review my birth plan and let me know his thoughts. He told me I was doomed to have a horrible birth and a C-section and that "everyone hates people who make a birth plan" and "I'm not even going to read it." Then he went off on some tirade about how he's delivered x amount of babies, and how great he is. It was uncomfortable and bizarre. And it was seriously one page long of simple stuff...not a novel. If I weren't so advanced in my pregnancy I would consider changing practices just so he won't be at my birth.

Very punctual with every prenatal visit I went to. Very direct, doesn't patronize me or waste my time. Helps me understand what other doctor's have told me, and more importantly, puts it into context for me. So many physican encounters leave me anxious, leading to more testing/labs/cat scans, but Dr. Walsh wades through all that and gets to the important stuff quickly.

Dr Walsh is a hack. Please dont see him. He gave me a hole to hole episiotomy with no numbing agent that hurt like hell, made me push 2 and a half hours with no help from him, and then proceeded to take my child out with a vacuum device while practically sitting on my belly...a C c-ection would have been better than this. I went in fine and left with an incurable bladder disorder in which my nerves are broken so I can not empty.I have been to many doctors and many diagnostic surgeries and even endured acid in my bladder, but it is not until now...13 years later I know what is wrong and it can be attributed to a large episiotomy and pelvic trauma. I am convinsed Dr Walsh did this to me and if I have to die trying, I will eventually prove it. I now suffer with lack of sleep, lack of quality of life and the fear of going to unfamiliar surroundings unless I now there is a restroom readily available. Please dont see this doctor...he is terrible.

He is extremely arrogant! When I asked him if I would be tested for gestational diabetes again before leaving the hospital he was short with me and said I'm not going to do it. I asked him when I could resume a normal diet and he said as far as he is concerned I can eat a box of donuts right after the delivery...I was like um, one might be nice, but isn't a box a bit excessive...When I asked him how bad the recovery from the C-section would be he said to me, "That depends on how big of a wuss you are." That really didn't answer my question either. He also told me that I would be a good candidate for a c-section. When I asked him why that was he told me that it is because I am not 400 pounds. Then he went on to tell me that I should be walking 2 miles a day everyday beginning now...I am almost 8 months pregnant and it was my impression that you should never begin a new exercise program while pregnant. This guy is a total jerk! I wont be seeing him again!

I felt as though Dr. Walsh was not really concerned with my overall well being. I had some questions about birth control methods and which ones he would suggest for my situation and all he kept saying was, "I'll give you any one you want." This response seemed very irresponsible and non-caring.

I have been seeing dr. Walsh for 21 years now. I look forward to the visits because I come out feeling more in control of my health. My primary care doctor keeps on telling me to get a pap, but Dr. Walsh tells me I don't need one since my uterus and cervix were removed for fiboids. I appreciate this honesty, since he also suggested that i didn't need any more gynecology care visits unless I have a problem. i still see him every three years or so just to find out an honest opinion about my health. He pushes weight control, exercise, healthy eating, sunshine, and enough sleep. Seems simple enough, and i feel a whole lot better just doing that. At the last visit we discussed the new recommendations for mammograms, and he told me that a group of scientists determined that every 2 years after age 50 was the new recommendation, but left it up to me to decide. Why aren't other doctors telling patients this??? I suspect there's a lot of money for the doctors in unecesary testing.

I found him to be rude and unprofessional. He made inappropriate comments about women and breast cancer! I had gone there for a while, my Dr. left and he was the replacement.I kept telling him of my menstrual problems, he shrugged them off. I collapsed at a carnival. I needed an emergency hysterectomy, and that is what all my problems arises from. I was told this should have been diagnosed years ago. STAY AWAY

The medical system can be confusing and many times I don't get a straight answer until I see Dr. Walsh. I saw him for an abnormal pap (I had been told I might have cancer!) and he reassured me that, like 80% of women my age, I had a temprorary viral infection that will go away. And it did. Another "cancer" scare was when I went to the ER for a stomach bug, and they found an ovarian cyst on ultrasound. I saw him and he explained that I make a cyst that size EVERY MONTH, and he ordered a follow up ultrasound for my reassurance and everything was normal. Many doctors seem to be scared of malpractice, or interested in doing more tests to afford their fancy cars, but I found that Dr. Walsh was honest, efficient, and very informative.
