I had pain in my groin and was told by Dr. Opie that I had an inguinal hernia, possibly a double hernia, and that I needed to schedule surgery within 3-6 months. I decided to get a 2nd opinion. A REAL hernia specialist told me that all I had was a pulled muscle. Well it healed within a month. That was over a year ago now. Good thing I didn't get that surgery!

I am recovering from my third surgery that Dr. Opie has done for me over the years, and all I can say is he is the best. I have never had a problem after any of the surgeries, and mine were difficult to say the least. I would recommend Dr. Opie without any reservations. He is very kind and is never in a hurry, which is rare for a Drs. visit today. Also, his staff is awesome!

I thought the staff at Midwest Surgical was very friendly and helpful. Dr Opie was always on time - my daughter's surgery (Gallbladder) actually started about 20 minutes early, and he is very personable and friendly. I would highly recommend Dr Opie and Midwest Surgical Associates.

Not a good experience at all.....The office staff is rude and heartless. Dr. Opie seems to be late every appt. Please research before using this Dr.
