I have been clean for three years, have a college degree, and am in law school of all things, and he tried to make me feel guilty about still being on this medicine. A therapist of all people. He made me feel like I was two inches tall just because I wasn't completely off of this medicine.

The only reason I gave fours rather than fives on staff and punctuality was because I feel that Ms. Thoman (the office manager) has a right to have bad days like the rest of us and I have had to wait longer on some occasions. I have only ever had to wait due to another patient's care though. I haven't ever waited for reasons that weren't necessary. I feel that Dr. Middleton has a keen sense when it comes to his patients. I haven't ever attempted to lie to him because he could clearly see through me if I did. If I didn't live so far away from his practice I would take advantage of his invitations to see him more than once a month if needed. I think I will get only what I put into my recovery. Dr. Middleton can't hold my hand on a daily basis no more than any other doctor could. He may be firm and a no-nonsense type of guy but at least he's real. I know what I'm getting and what to expect. He isn't there to sugarcoat my recovery. He's there to see me through even when it's ugly.

I know only terrible things about him. It's sketchy that he only takes cash. He will keep you on suboxone for SOOOOO LONG. I'm tired all the time, stuck in a contract taking this stuff that makes me worse. The board should look into the way he does things. He keeps people coming back by having them sign contracts and you are addicted tohe t stuff he prescribes. he's awful. he should get his license taken away. he makes people sicker.

WOW, a Doctor who truly understands addiction and wholistic healing. I just saw him for the first time today, and I feel that fate brought me to him. I am very serious about my recovery and I know that Dr Middleton is providing me with the right tools to heal. I feel that if you don't think he is a good Doctor, then you are seeing him for the wrong reason and he is too smart and sees through your lies. Thanks you Dr Middleton. Also, the front desk lady, Mrs. Thoman, was courteous and seems like she does not judge addicts and cares. If you are serious about recovery, go to Dr Middleton.

In response to the other post, what did you expect from an addiction specialist? A physical? We have had our ups and downs but Dr Middelton is nothing but professional, his staff caring and there knowledge is deep in the subject of addiction...I've been going to him for over a year and my life has transformed to the person I used to be,it's a blessing...you probably were treated for something you didn't need! It's no wonder it didn't work...ive struggled with addiction for 10yrs,he's great and I advise anyone who is struggling to see him as well...
