If you, or a loved one, receives a lung, chest, heart or vascular system cancer diagnosis, I implore you get a second opinion from Dr. Ara Vaporciyan, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX before starting treatments. I obtained mine after hearing my lung & heart cancers were "inoperable" & "not survivable". My treatment plan: palliative care. "Dr. V." discerned surgical removal of my cancers were within his expertise and odds of survival good. The 7-hour surgery was successful and recovery uneventful. I have been released for monitoring every six months; no chemotherapy, no radiation. "Dr. V." is trained to treat lung, chest, heart and vascular system diseases.
