I can highly recommend Dr Galen as I have been seeing him for many years now due to Hep C and PBC; this is based not only upon my dealings with him but compared also with my experience with other doctors and with the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. He is highly knowledgeable, stays up to date, and is conservative in treatment; first do no harm is his ethic. He clearly explains things and does not treat simply for the sake of treating. He understands that the decision to treat is often a choice of the lessor of two evils and does an excellent job of helping me understand my options and possible outcomes. He has been very supportive. His office is not filled with ads from drug companies. Sometimes he does run late, but it is because he is willing to spend time with his patients as needed. On the negative side, he can seem cool or even cold but I believe it is the nature of his profession and required at times; he always has shown genuine concern for my, and my families, well-being.
