Do not see Dr. Bacon or go to the orthopedic office at Revere Health in Provo. They are incompetent. Dr. Bacon did not provide the correct information for my insurance and because of that they won’t cover my MRI. I’ve called the office at least 6 times the past two weeks trying to get him to send documentation to my insurance company that I have in fact done other treatments for my back problem, which is why my insurance said they won’t cover it. The office keeps telling me they are leaving notes for his assistant and they’re marking them urgent yet I have not received a call and the problem has not been resolved. How unprofessional of Dr. Bacon to not only write inaccurate notes but for his assistant to not do his job and get back to me in anyway. I don’t know what else to do and wish I could give zero stars because this experience has been frustrating and my pain is increasing all thanks to their incompetence.

My 69 year old wife with osteoporosis developed excruciating pain in her spine. After an Xray, Dr. Bacon said there was absolutely nothing wrong with her back. He told her that she didn't need a brace or pain meds. A sloppy and careless misdiagnosis.
Two days later, still in great pain, she went to the ER where an MRI found that she had a compression fracture of the T12 vertebrae. She received treatment from a different doctor and has now recovered. Avoid Dr. Bacon.

Dr. Bacon is the worst doctor I have ever had. Terrible bedside manner. waited in his waiting room for an hour before being taken back. Female staff was kind and understanding but Dr. Bacon himself refused to aknowledge my pain and argued with me about the cast cutting off circulation saying it was just my "perception" even though the ER doctors confirmed it needed to be removed immediately. Despite asking him for information about my injury, I was never told exactly what happened, just brushed off and told "you broke it, that's what happened". I had also called in oa Thursday to report the swelling and pain I was in and was told, very apathetically, that nothing could be done and would have to wait until Tuesday even to recover medication. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR AT ALL.

Dr. Bacon and his staff were excellent. My elderly mother fell and we went to the emergency room in the late evening. Dr. Bacon was able to look at her x-rays and diagnose her condition remotely along with the ER doctor and radiologist who were also great. The following day, Dr. Bacon and his staff were able to accommodate my mother and fit my mother in for a follow-up appointment the day I called into his office, even pushing the original appointment time back because of our delayed arrival due to dealing with the logistics of transporting my temporarily crippled 85 year old mother to the office. As my mother's primary caregiver and meeting with her several doctors, I can confirm that Dr. Bacon clearly knows his stuff and was very kind and compassionate at the same time. Having read through all of Dr. Bacon's reviews, I wanted to note that based on our experience with Dr. Bacon, I believe the majority, if not all, of any negative reviews are unwarranted and seem to me to be from patients who have had less than ideal health conditions through no fault of Dr. Bacon or his staff...this is unfortunate and unfair to the excellent Dr. Bacon a be his A+ staff. Based on our experience with Dr. Bacon and his staff, I highly recommend Dr. Bacon and his staff for your related medical treatment in the orthopedic surgeon space. Dr. Bacon is great and so is his staff!

I went to see Dr. Bacon following a car accident. He spent very little time with me, never showed me me x-rays of my broken bones, didn't return paperwork back to my work as requested in a timely manner so my disability claim was denied. I felt very much like a number, not a patient. I did end up having my broken bones casted, but on the visit following my cast being put on, Dr. Bacon didn't even come in the room and talk to me. He stuck his head in the door and asked if I could wiggle my fingers. When i moved them on the broken arm he stated, "Very well, we'll see you in 6 weeks and take that cast off. Don't be doing any cartwheels between now and then" and was gone. I wished I would have gone with another doctor/practice. I'm not completely healed up yet, but have not been impressed with Dr. Bacon or his office staff.

Dr. Bacon performed miracles for my husband. My husband was diagnosed with advanced blood cancer that was destroying his bones. He had to have a nail put in both of his femurs, and the bone was just crumbling. Dr. Bacon did an amazing job, and gave my husband the best care. Even though my husband wasn't expected to live very long, the Dr. gave him the kind of care that would set him up to be well off long term. 4 years later and my husband is doing great. I really can't say enough good about this Dr. He has a quirky personality, but most genius types do. He was a great fit for us.....extremely competent, generous and compassionate. Compassionate not in the touchy feely sit down with you and talk it over fake way, but in the actual take care of business, feeding the homeless without anyone knowing about it, set you up for life, fix things kind of way. I could tell that his staff liked him, and in the lobby while awaiting our appointment, there was another patient there who had had full spinal surgery and she was also going on and on about what a competent Dr. he had been for her issues. I highly recommend him.

I have learned a lot by reading other peoples comments. My experience was good BEFORE the surgery. But since , I have been in horrendous pain after 3 fusions and a " contraption " put in my spine. The surgery took 5hrs and all Dr Bacon did was come out and tell my husband " she bled alot !" and walked away. I then spent a week in hospital not remembering one single day of my stay. My memory was totally ruined. Since then I have been back because of my insane pain and was given multiple shots in my spine by Dr Bacon with no result. I kept asking if I should go to physical therapy and it was never offered or suggested .Then I was sent to have an epidural with no result. Today all I do is fall because my leg gives way on me and I have extensive nerve damage which ruins the muscle. I hardly saw Dr Bacon after my surgery, not even the day I had my 22 staples taken out of my spine. Not very impressed , my bill was almost $200,000 I thought that would at least include decent after care.!!!!

I saw him several months ago for back pain. He ordered an x Ray and said there was nothing terribly wrong and no reason for the symptoms I was describing. He pointedly stated that he would not be giving me pain meds, which I didn’t ask for in the first place. He prescribed a couple sessions of PT. I wasn’t satisfied with his examination and diagnosis, so I went to a couple other doctors. They ordered MRIs and found that I have 11 bulging and/or degenerated discs, annular tears, arthritis, stenosis, etc. The doctors reviewed the X-ray that Dr. Bacon did and they were able to point out the stenosis and arthritis on the X-ray! Dr. Bacon was no help whatsoever and the PT that he referred me to was an absolute joke! I am now seeing competent medical professionals and wouldn’t recommend Dr. Bacon to my worst enemy.

I have been going to Dr. Bacon for 25 years. He has kept me walking all these years. He is still one of those Doctor's that really cares and treat you like a person not a number,
