He lost the right to practice in KS for the way he treated the patients and the bad manners etc.

My grandmother had surgery by the hands of Selim in Aug '08 and was deceased by Nov '08. She went in for a hernia operation and came out with five open holes in her stomach. Four of the wounds healed; however, the one in the middle of her stomach, where we had to physically extract her waste by hand, remained gaping until her death. We later learned than an intern was allowed to step in and perform a portion of this particularly delicate and complicated surgical procedure. I'll allow you to rate my family's experience.

Dr. Selim and his staff are great! He is a knowledgable surgeon. I have never had an issue with his service. His staff is friendly and always accomodating. Keep in mind there are always more than 1 side to a story.

Dr Selim did a lap band on me 6 years ago. I liked him as a Doctor for the most part. I had major problems with the scheduling of appointments. I had appointments 2 different times when he wasn't even in the office. No one bothered to call me to tell me and my drive there is 45 plus min. I also had an appointment to have my tube unkinked at their out patient facility at 8:30 AM and he didn't show up till 10:00 due to the fact his staff scheduled him at two places at the same time. I have since changed Doctors so I don't have to deal with the staff there. I also had a problem with my band being to tight and Dr Selim didn't think so. It took me having to have an EGD and that doctor called Dr. Selim to tell him it was way to tight. Even with that being said I had to wait 4 weeks for an appointment.
