When I asked "Dr." Hodges questions it was obvious that instead of listening, he was thinking about what he wanted to tell me. When I expressed a concern about an apparent side effect I was experiencing from medicine, he laughed at me. Hodges diagnosed me with COPD Emphysema. When I commented that my shortness of breath was recent and that it was not likely to be late stage COPD he argued with me and claimed that I "had already been short of breath and just didn't notice". When I asked for a bronchoscopy, I was told he would not do so because it wasn't needed. A DIFFERENT local Pulmonologist has since found my actual problem was not COPD but instead Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (in a mass that was blocking over 90% of the air to my left lung). I am currently receiving Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. Luckily, it has not spread, despite my incorrect diagnosis/treatment from Hodges. I find Hodges to be cocky, self-centered, and condescending.

Brought my elderly mother to see Dr. Hodges. She has chronic bronchitis and was having difficulty breathing. This doctor and his staff acted like we were wasting their time. Sent her for a breathing test and the tech there fussed at her because she was unable to complete the test since she couldn't get a full breath in her lungs. She was given antibiotics without knowing if there was even an infection. Seems to me if you've been doing this a long time and you do not want to take the time with your patients then maybe you should just retire. This wasn't a social call she's sick and this office made her feel like they could have cared less. Please think twice before you pay your co-pay/office pay to this office.

Don't waste your time or money. This doctor was terrible. He was going through the motions and really did not care about find a cause for my issues. His staff is even worse - poor attitudes and apathetic. Sometimes you do something for so long, you lose passion for what you do. Hey doc, time to retire and do something else. And fire that staff while you are at it. Did I say terrible!
