Dr. Clancy has done two operations on my foot. He does seem to be very knowledgeable, is very friendly and funny, but he is also very busy. He is in and out before you can think of questions, and then it is too late. He doesn't explain the procedures very well and needs great prompting so that you understand the whats and the whys of the procedure. Either way, the foot is good, so I suppose he has done a good job.

I was misdignosed by Pals West Hospital ER, my Primary Care Doctor and a local MRI Facility during a period of September 2012 to November 2012 with a "SPRAIN ANKLE". My Primary Care Doctor kept saying it will go away on its own, but it did not. I was limping and in pain for two months until a made an appointment with Dr James T. Clancy, DPM. Thanks to Dr. James T.Clancy, I was diagnosed correctly. I had a RUPTURED ACHILLES TENDON. Dr Clancy performed surgery. I am back to working, running and playing soccer. I am very grateful and thankful to Dr. James T. Clancy. GREAT SURGEON, GREAT TEAM OF PODIATRY STUDENTS, GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR, SIMPLE: THE BEST OF THE BEST

I went to Dr. Clancy after two co-workers recommended him. He did the same surgery on one of my co-workers as I had done and she's never had a problem. My foot surgery was a success and it was not an easy surgery for Dr. Clancy (my bad feet). He did a wonderful job closing the wound and they look and feel great!

MERCENARY OF MEDICINE - STAY AWAY. I went to his office 3 times due to broken bone in ankle area. They take X-Rays every visit, last visit they took X-Ray and doctor did not even look at the result. When I asked if he was going to check the X-Ray, he told me it was not important at the point of my treatment. So, they take the X-Ray's just to make money. He made me buy an orthopedic boot from his office for $259 dollars on my second visit. On the 3rd visit, he wanted me to buy a brace to put inside my shoes for $500 dollars. I told him it was too expensive, and as he showed me the product, I took note of the product name and manufacturer. When I got home, I looked it up on the Google, and found the exact same product being sold for $50 dollars. And the boot he sold me bofore for $260 was being sold in BetterBraces.com for $40 dollars. This doctor is a mercenary, just rips off his patients, he does not explain what the issue is, and keeps saying I should come back every 2 weeks.

Stay Away. First, he doesn't listen to the patient. He talks at them, not with them. Second, he'll drop you like a hot potato as soon as the 90 day insurance payment is up - whether you need his care or not. I actually had a problem brewing, picked up by another doctor when Clancy said all was fine (NOT). I chalk this up to his ego being considerably greater than his knowledge base or his experience. He also yells at people in his office. Alot. Get another opinion or three before you decide to let him cut you.
