Dr. Barbara Ward is a Master class surgeon who is not only highly competent but has exceptional emotional intelligence - a rare and valuable combination. Her surgical skills are unparalleled leaving a cosmetic scar to be proud of . Dr. Ward knows how to deal with anxiety in her patients, is always available and returns your calls. I traveled a long distance to have her perform the surgery after consulting four other breast surgeons. We are blessed to have her in CT - she is an awesome doctor who delivers exceptional patient care - she is a top doc in my book

Dr. Ward perfored a double masectomy on me this past november. She and her staff made a very difficult time much easier for me, Dr. Ward is kind, smart, and trust worthy; she's truly a gifted surgeon and i'm thankful she was available to me.

I understand that she is supposed to be good but her staff is terrible. The receptionist decided what procedure I needed over the phone and the doctor did not call me when I was told she would. I chose to go to someone else as a result.

An amazing woman and a top-notch doctor. Takes as much time as patient needs to discuss diagnosis, questions, concerns. Promptly returns follow-up calls (usually same-day). Very knowledgeable of latest developments in surgery methods. Following my diagnosis of advanced breast cancer I chose Dr. Ward after meeting with surgeons at MSKCC. She is a gift to any woman facing a breast cancer diagnosis.
