My 5 year old was referred by his pediatrician the first year he was born so I meet with Dr Guterman and loved him but since he was only a year even though he might need glasses he said to come back in another year than somehow I lost his info me moved 2 hours away from Hackensack and once I found him I went back to him now my 2 kids sees him. Office staff is amazing he’s amazing he takes his time he doesn’t rush he speaks with you kindly treats my kids really nice. I loved him from the moment we meet him and my kids too. He’s not the type of doctor that just treats patients fast!! One day I somehow showed up at my appointment one day earlier and knowing we drive 2 hours to see him he still made the time to see my kids at his lunch break. He’s the best!!!!

Dr. Guterman is an excellent doctor and his diagnoses are careful and on target. He not only provided first rate medical care to my daughter but he did so with genuine concern for her condition. Dr Guterman cares about his patients, he treats them with patience and concern. He is not only a superb physician but a real mentch ! Highest recommendation.

Dr. Carl Guterman has taken care of all five of my children with great expertise and care. Two of my children have had complex eye issues and Dr. Guterman followed their care carefully and expertly. He is warm and kind and has a very helpful and friendly staff. He is one of those rare old-fashioned doctors that still gives his patients all the time that they need. 1993 our 1yr old baby girl had double eye surgery (strabismus/crossed eyes). We were released from hospital hrs earlier because she was nursing & eating homemade puréed fruit by 11am. He called 7pm@ to find she was sitting up after sleeping all day. Insurance refused to pay but instead of billing us, He said “Her seeing well was enough payment" At 9 she had slight corrective surgery. Nurses boasted him as one of the best doctors personally & professionally. When he found out she was nauseous after surgery, he gently but firmly reprimanded the nurses for not calling him immediately. He treated the symptom & her tummy was fine. What an amazing gift Dr Carl is, his hand are truly blessed by God. We are thankful to Jesus for him & will always have a very special place for him in our hearts. I never wait more than 20 min, but if you do it’s because of the extravagant amount of time he spends with your child. You must experience his thorough & comprehensive eye exams to understand.

its a shame that a pediatric office will run the way this office runs!! and its sad when the Dr dose not care!!! stay a way by all cost!!! and the worst when your child says " Mommy i dont click with the Dr can we go some were else?"!! sad very sad!!!

Waited almost 2 hrs for the doctor to see me. When I addressed the doctor with the complain that I have to wait so long there was no apology. He said that it takes that long sometimes. Then when I needed a form completed for the school I waited over a month to get it. It took many phone calls and a lot of aggravation to get this very simple form to be completed.
