I called the office, after my visit, to learn my results and getting a copy of blood work. If anyone answered the phone at all, I had to leave voice mail or speak to an answering service. I NEVER RECEIVED RETURN CALLS. Finally I had someone connect me to the office manager who emailed my results to me. The worst part is I was referred to a surgeon WITHOUT ANYONE TELLING ME WHY. Then that surgeons office leaves me a voice mail referring me to a surgeon two hours away. My tests looked no different than before but i'm referred to a surgeon WITH NO EXPLAINATION OR DISCUSSION. I WAS SO FILLED WITH ANXIETY OVER THIS AND NOT ABLE TO DISCUSS IT WITH ANYONE UNTIL A JANUARY APPT.
IT USED TO BE A DECENT PLACE BUT ITS GONE TOTALLY DOWN HILL AS FAR AS CARING AND COMPASSION FOR PATIENTS.

I will have another stroke before I ever see this doctor again. His next appt. is in October of 2024. a year away. He should put his existing patients first and not make them wait a year. Three months waiting is long enough. I am now calling and trying to find another doctor. This doctor is greedy and could care less about his paients. I will not see a nurse practentioner

I have never had such a terrible experience with a doctor. I'm not sure if Dr. McDonald purposely over schedules or is just too focused on getting patients in and out of his office to care about their actual wellbeing. It appears that his office will put profits over anything else - scheduling unnecessary and expensive appointments and tests without meeting or discussing with the actual patient. He spent less than 5 minutes in the room with me and brushed off my concerns. There is no follow up by McDonald or reasoning behind his decisions. There is no way to get a hold of the doctor or to schedule timely appointments. When calling their office, it goes to voicemail and can take hours to reach scheduling. Follow up appointments that are prescribed for 6 weeks out actually take 3-4 months. It is no surprise that everyone in the office is visibly stressed.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. McDonald was very rude and condescending. Every time I would start describing symptoms he would aggressively interrupt me, talk over me, and dismiss what I'm trying to tell him. He is an arrogant, pompous, narcissist. I literally left the room in tears and could not get out of there fast enough. He has no compassion and IS VOID OF A BEDSIDE MANNER.

Sometimes doesn’t seem interested. Dismissal of my complaints. Like almost every Dr I have devulged that I have PTSD, possibly manic, then everything past that point becomes invalid. They immediately change to DISREGARDING every thing you say as invalid and almost lying, past this point. It is so upsetting to be treated by a physician that your complaint s are now regarded as almost fictitious or flights of fantasy. I learned quickly, NOT TO DEVULGE my meds that related to this diagnosis to ALL doctors now, and I get treated as a viable, truthful, and as someone who needs to be heard and regarded as a whole person. I have been dismissed on every visit. I even went to Emergency Room for TIA and he came and kept checking the wrong side that was stiff. I kept telling him to check the left side and the staff all kept checking the right side of my stiff arm and leg, only because the medic put AiIV in my left arm. I was sent home in a few hours and I did my own physical therapy by lifting progressive weights and later regained use of my slightly stiff arm . I had a video at a public function that I accessed with my face drawn, crooked smile, not able to talk, nor to go “on podium “ to accept my Awards, and, THEN, AND ONLY THEN, did he admit that I “may have had a stroke”.

Hardheaded know it all ordered spinal tap where I had a leak. He was being paid by hospital as on call. I laud in a hospital bed and the er dr. Couldn't even get a call to move forward with emergency blood patch. Policy and civil violation. It is now 23 days later and he or his assaulting staff have not called me back 23 days later. I had a 0 opening csf pressure indicating another csf leak which would require a referral to a real dr. His assistant, jayme lied to me. And failed to return my calls from a documented cell recording device. I'm moving on s legal action if my phone doesn't ring by Friday. This clown sucks. I'm seeking a real Neuro if anyone knows one. Also a big law firm. Thx 843.251.4850

Dr. McDonald was the first neurologist I had seen. The wait time was not the worst I had seen, but once I got back to the room and tried to talk to him about what was going on, he would constantly interupt me and it seemed like he was ignoring what I was saying. He was very cold and did not look me in the eye much at all. He was very nonchalant about the options of treatment for my MS. I had a severe reaction to the injection I was put on and he said I could either take it or not take it, like he didn't care either way. Some of these doctors, like Dr. McDonald, seem to forget that they work for the patient, not the other way around. I was VERY disappointed with his bedside manner and with his staffs lack of knowledge and ability to call you back when they sais they would. Lack of communication is a BIG problem with this office. I "fired" Dr. McDonald and am very happy with my new neurologist that takes the time to listen and whose staff is wonderful.

Worst "bedside manners" of any doctor I've seen. He talks to you while he's walking away from you. He was not prepared for a follow-up visit (scheduled a month in advance) and he had to read the chart in front of me to jog his memory of what's going on. He called me at work after an MRI to tell me of a "spot" in my brain, but told me he would go over it in person. When I got there (a month later), he barely mentioned it, and said it wasn't a big deal---thanks for making me worry for a month. Absolutly the WORST doctor, won't let you ask questions or speak. Never going back!!
