As a result of hospitalization from partial colon blockage I was scheduled for a procedure and was following the prep and instructions to the letter. Started feeling a lot of discomfort and nausea in 2nd day of prep after taking miramax. It was a familiar feeling before I was hospitalized 3 weeks ago for the blockage. I called that evening and got answering service. Dr Hashmi called me back and got very agitated about me asking if I should be concerned about the slight pain. He said I should have asked these questions when I set the appt. How could I have anticipated the effects of the miramax when I was instructed to take it by the Dr.’s office who’s Doctors treated me while in hospital. They confirmed having the diagnosis when I called. He was very rude and annoyed and said he did not have access to my medical record concerning my blockage. Terrible doc I hope he never ever treats me or anyone I know. I will have the procedure by Dr Kolnik but would not recommend the other Doc to anyone. He was rude and nit willing to consult me at all.

I went for a Routine Colonoscopy with no medical issues or ailments. I take no meds and have no Medical Conditions. Dr. Hashmi coded my procedure as a “Condition” that required Surgery. This caused my Insurance Company to require me to pay 100% of the whole procedure and Dr. Hashmi refuses to change the coding for FEAR that the Insurance Company will find fault with him. Yet, my Insurance Company says he can change the coding so that my Routine Diagnostic Test will be fully covered. At no point did he or his office explain that I would be responsible for $900 for a procedure that is covered by my Insurance and if not covered, is totally OPTIONAL. By the way, the 2 day Prep Procedure for the Colonoscopy that Dr. Hashmi prescribed almost sent me to the Emergency Ward. I called his office repeatedly with no call back. I told the Surgery Center Nurse my experience and she said, He gave you the same amount as a 300 pound man.” I weight 105 pounds! No wonder I was in severe pain!
