My husband and I came to Shady Grove after several unsuccessful attempts to try on our own , having children from previous relationships, a vasectomy reversal and thyroid related issues. We were diagnosed with unexplained fertility when we went to Shady Grove and Dr. Roth worked with us in developing a plan. We went through 2 IUIs with no success, began to feel hopeless again and took a break for a few months. Dr. Roth and our nurse Amy encouraged us throughout the process, despite the emotional roller coaster we were experiencing with infertility. Dr. Roth is very knowledgeable about the process and was upfront with us but also very empathetic about our concerns. We never felt pressured and were engaged throughout the process. We decided to pursue a 3rd iui not bc we felt hopeful , but bc we trusted Dr. Roth and her expertise and are so thankful we did bc we conceived our son. We will always be thankful for Dr. Roth, our nurse Amy and Shady Grove for our experience and our son. It’s evident that the staff there truly care about the patients and success.

My husband and I had multiple miscarriages and then were struggling to conceive for several years when we were referred to Dr. Roth. After meeting her and developing a plan of care we walked away with renewed confidence that we had lost over the years. She was so kind, personable, brilliant, and encouraging which is exactly what we needed at that point. We followed the plan developed by Dr. Roth and I’m now sitting here holding my 3 week old little girl as I write this. We feel so blessed everyday that we ended up in her care and we will definitely return to her office if we find ourselves in need of her services again. I would recommend Dr. Roth to anyone who is struggling to have a child- she is wonderful.

Dr Roth was amazing throughout our infertility journey. Extremely knowledgeable and kind. She does not force a treatment path on you but rather helps guide you to make the best plan for your family.

My husband and I struggled with infertility for about three years. We finally contacted Shady Grove to check out other options. Immediately I knew that we were in the right place. Dr. Roth made us both feel so comfortable and excited to look forward to the next step. I don’t know what we would have done without her and the extremely talented medical staff of Shady Grove. We are happy to say that with their help we welcomed twins in July 2018! It was our choice to implant two embryos in order to achieve a viable pregnancy. We are so blessed to call these babies ours; it’s indescribable! If there’s ever any doubt in your fertility struggle Contact Dr. Roth, you will be in be best hands!

Dr. Roth is amazing! After dealing with infertility for about 4 years, she was so kind and understanding. She made the rest of our fertility journey an extremely positive experience. She was always available to answer any and all questions I had and was always very quick to respond to any concerns. I will forever be grateful for her help in the successful fertility treatment, pregnancy, and birth of my precious daughter!

Interfility was such a tough experience for us. Upon meeting with Dr. Roth, we could tell she was well educated and invested in our specific journey. Even through some bad breaks, she was kind, patient, and let me be in the moment I needed. She was reassuring when it got tough and shared in our joy when we had success! Infertility is such an intimate topic; we really felt cared for under Dr. Roth's wing. Follow up since 'graduating' from Shady Grove is also commendable.

Dr. Roth is the type of steady professional you need for something as challenging as infertility treatment. Thanks to her we now have a beautiful, healthy, baby girl after almost giving up hope after years of trying.

Dr. Roth is honest, realistic, and determined. She explained everything clearly to us about my wife's health status, the treatment options, and likelihood of success for each option. She listened to our concerns and respected our choices while at the same time making sure that she clearly communicated her knowledgeable and experienced professional opinions on our treatment path. I was amazed when we began treatment because never before had we had a doctor that was accessible via email. Dr. Roth personally replied to emails and phone messages very quickly. On occasions when she wasn't immediately available because of clinical work, the extremely competent Shady Grove staff provided answers and relayed messages from her. It was a level of care we had never experienced before.

We wanted the chance of more than one child. After our first round of IVF yielded fewer viable embryos than we had hoped for, we opted to do a second round of IVF. Dr. Roth looked closely at how my wife's body tolerated and reacted to the first round and decided to change the protocol for the second round in hopes of yielding better results now that she had data showing that she could do it safely, (some protocols increase the risk of hyper-ovarian stimulation syndrome so she very wisely did not start with that protocol.) The result was our healthy baby girl plus some frozen embryos (potential siblings for her.)

Shady Grove as a whole is a well-oiled machine. We initially went there because their multiple locations ensure that there is always an office open on weekends or holidays to get the time-critical and frequent monitoring and lab work done done when it must be done. On occasion when we did go to a different location for lab work on the weekend, they had all of our records and knew precisely what was going on. We were concerned that smaller clinics might not be able to be so precise.

I've tried to write this review with an objective tone so anyone reading it can understand all the good points of our experience with Dr. Roth and Shady Grove Fertility. On a personal subjective note: my wife and I prefer when a person in a serious professional role takes it seriously and doesn't act too informal, chat about unrelated things, or get caught up in the patients' emotions. Dr. Roth was perfect in this regard, delivering just the right balance of compassion and understanding while always keeping focused on the treatment which helped keep us focused.

Thank you Dr. Roth, we are eternally grateful.

My experience with Shady Grove and specifically with Dr. Roth has been life changing for me and my husband. We struggled for years with infertility while at another clinic. We entered Dr. Roy's office almost defeated. She gave us hope. She was honest and kind, showed that she really cared about us as patients. She made sure we understood the IVF process and was with us every step of the way. It is because of her we are 31 weeks pregnant and finally able to have a family of our own.
