I saw three different medical doctors to no effect. Dr Hopkins diagnosed me and prescribed me medication that gave me instant relief. My whole experience at the Oregon Clinic was five star! Staff and Dr Hopkins were top notch.

Dr. Hopkins and his entire team are first rate! I have had well over 100 visits/treatments and each team member treats me like a special guest. We share stories of our daily lives and they do their best to make you feel like family!

Biography

Dr. Hopkins joined The Oregon Clinic Portland Dermatology in July 2013 after spending three years as full time Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Associate Residency Program Director at Oregon Health and Sciences University. Sam grew up in Portland, graduated from Oberlin College in Ohio in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, and then matriculated to the University of Virginia for medical school, graduating in 2006 with induction to both Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Medical Honor Societies. He completed his Dermatology residency at OHSU in 2010 where he served as Chief Resident. He is board certified in dermatology and served as president of the Oregon Dermatology Society from 2017-2018. He also continues in his role as Assistant Professor of Dermatology at OHSU as an adjunct faculty member. While at OHSU, Dr. Hopkins developed a focused interest in skin issues affecting organ transplant recipients and was Co-Director of OHSU’s High-Risk Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer Clinic from 2013-2022. Dr. Hopkins now practices solely at TOC-Portland Dermatology.
