Dr. Orphanides listened to my concerns, discovered cancer, and referred me to excellent specialists. He stayed in contact with me during my treatment and has provided me with excellent post cancer care. His staff is helpful and easy to work with. Everyone at his practice is professional and caring.

The first and only time I met this dr.,I was very disappointed. He was cold and hardly even acknowledged me. Bedside manner stank. When he found out that I was one of jehovahs witnesses,he definitely changed . Recommended me to anyone else. What it boiled down to was that he was not willing to raise his quality of care to accommodate my medical needs. He definately did not agree with my rights as a patient. I will not go back.

Dr. Orphanides was my gastroenterologist for many years. He was very thorough, with me and with others who saw him --- always committed to the patient's best possible outcome. I always trusted he did "everything" possible to ensure my wellness. I was also truly grateful that when I wanted a second opinion, he was supportive; his ego wasn't hurt (or at least outwardly). Ultimately, he treated me, and I beat the odds and am WELL! He also discovered a family member had stage 3 colorectal cancer, and the referrals he made were absolutely life saving! I am sure I am not the only one who wishes his office were closer! He is sincerely missed in Pennsylvania. If you are considering Dr. Orphanides for your care, I can assure you, his medical knowledge and integrity are tops!

Absolutely horrible experience. I cannot say what type of care Dr Orphanides gives because my wife was refused her scheduled visit.The appointment was made for 3:30pm, but we arrived about 5 minutes late. The older of the two receptionists ignored us for the better part of ten minutes only to then rudely tell my wife that we were supposed to be there at 3:15. We were not told of this when the appointment was made. She pointed out where it was illegibly scrawled on the appointment letter we received in the mail. When attempting to reschedule the same rude receptionist cut my wife off several times telling us that the Dr only saw patients on Mon, Tues and Wed. At this point we decided that we would see another Dr who does not mind working more than three days a week. I would not recommend Dr Orphanides to anyone who actually intends to be treated with dignity. I have never heard of a Dr refusing someone for being minutes late; the way my wife was treated was unacceptable

Thanks to our amazing Dr. Orphanides, I celebrate the gift of life!! Our paths crossed as I made the necessary appointment that is recommended by age. Lucky for me to have found a caring, compassionate and able specialist who advocates for his patients. Never did it cross my mind to seek a 2nd opinion. Dr. O is a power of 1! I think we need to create a 5+ plus rating for care beyond expectations.

Dr. Orphanides listened and found the problems I had been suffering with for years that other doctors had dismissed. Unfortunately, I have to be referred on to another specialist, but I would definitely recommend him.

He found what was wrong with me when other doctors didn't have a clue. He was thorough and wouldn't give up when the diagnosis wasn't an easy one. Highly recommend.

Very thorough......has a reputation of going overboard in that direction at times. His explanations/responses to questions were very good.
