I, too, have been seeing this doctor for over 10 years. I won't be going back. She is unprofessinal and belittling. I am sure there are better doctors on which I can spend my money. The last contact I will have with Dr. Garcia is to order my medical records. I hope others do not put up with her mistreatment of patients. There are too many other professionals willing to treat you right.

I too have been seeing this woman for years. I should have stopped when she diagnosed me with breast cancer over the phone. Then several years later she burned my bowel during a routine hysterctomy. She's been trying for years to give me estrogen despite my breast cancer being estrogen receptor positive. She recently gave me Premarin, and when I called the office upset, she wrote me a letter telling me that my behavior was unacceptable and will not be tolerated. I feel sorry for her staff as she is nothing but nasty. She's even yelled at my husband and me for being a few minutes late. My husband is a pharmacist and her staff cannot call in prescriptions correctly, yet when the pharmacy calls to verify, the office staff yells at the pharmacy for screwing up.

I have been a patient of the office for a little over two years and always say the PAC Kathy. Kathy left the practice and I have recently been seeing Dr. Garcia. She is very friendly, helpful, and sympathetic. She even noticed changes in me and put me on an antidepressent/anxiety med that has really helped. The staff is great. She is hard to see though--her hours of practice are very limited now.

I've been going to Dr. Garcia for about 5 years and found her to be informed, sympathetic, approachable. She is willing to explain and answer questions in terms that anyone can understand. It is true that she has limited her acceptance of insurance companies but I would do my best to keep going to her even if she isn't a preferred provider on my plan.

I saw her one day and she was so friendly and seemed interested and concerned and asked me to come back i a week. A week later, after my visit, she informed me she had stopped accepting my insurance and I would have to pay for the expensive procedure she had just performed. She knew very well what my insurance was before she saw me that day but waited until after to drop the bomb. I thought this was incredible unethical. Her PA was very nice.

The office staff is amazing...so nice, friendly and compassionate. This includes the Physicians Assistant, Kathy Pavel. So was absolutely wonderful, which would be great if I was just dealing with the annual exam. I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Garcia for fertility issues and possible PCOS. I left her office in tears. I felt so bad about my body, my health and my chances of conceiving. And I am a very healthy 26 year old. I also felt like she was patronizing me with every question she answered, and I don't feel like I got any real answers to the questions that I was asking. My husband was at the appointment with me and he is a biology major and he felt belittled as well. The only positive comment I have for Dr. Garcia is that she refferred me to a Reproductive Endocrinologist who has been everything that I could have hoped for (Dr. Ashim V. Kumar of Fertility and Surgical Associates of California in Thousand Oaks, CA) I would highly recommend him.
