Went to get my son an eye exam. Dr Mark Innamorato want to get us to another exam not covered by OHIP as it was recommended. I declined and he stated that is how they do it for youths. He then thanked me and walked away. We walked out.

Outstanding care. Dr Dave has been treating our family for over 30 years and I'd be hard pressed to think that any other optometrist business could be more thorough. Their equipment and testing is always state-of-the-art so even if a particular test is an extra charge, I am thankful that I know I am getting the best care for my eyes and those of our family. He has also been very helpful for procedures that he hasn't done himself including cataract and laser surgeries. And to have one-stop shopping for eyewear in his office is great.

Dr David is practicing optometry business in Markham for a while, however the office policy is to charge patients with extra services since expanding his business with addition of his 2 children. This is not right!
You need patient consent for any optional service BEFORE it’s done. In one case when I objected to charges, they said we can offer for free this time. That’s a clue for breaking the trust. If you are so concern about your pocket, how can I trust your medical advice?!! Do I recommend, A big NO!

Always looking for the ways to charge extra money. They are after money and insist you to take additional tests. Dr. Mark is a nice friendly person. Krista is not a friendly person.

Was sent here by my family doctor for severe dry eye issues. Before I even saw the doctor they start telling me it's going to be an extra $95 to do a retina scan. I ask how they know I will need one. We go back and forth about this test price and now I am suspicious that they just add it to every exam whether its needed or not. The doctor was pretty cocky and slick. Didn't really care about my symptoms at all but started talking about how it might not be covered by OHIP. Did some testing then of course recommends this $95 scan. I said I was not interested and only came for my dry eyes. He exclaimed that he had already dilated my eyes for the test. Then says he'll do the test for free. I pushed for a diagnosis for my dry eyes and he said all women over 50 have dry eyes. Then brings in all these products for me to buy - omega 3 pills, eye mask, drops etc. $120 worth.

Do I think he's a good eye doctor? No. He was more worried about getting paid than diagnosing me. His office pushes the retinal scan for all customers before even seeing a doctor.

Will not go back and will warn friends not to go.

Bad experience overall with Dr. Krista I. Lacks knowledge, lacks good customer service skills as has a fluid temperment that is unpredictable on visits; and most of all, not informed about certain eye issues. Office is great at calling you if you are a few minutes late due to traffic, but as a client waiting for her in the office, this is not an issue. They extra-bill for some services. Highly would NOT recommend her due to lack-lustre service as a health-care professional.

I saw Dr. Krista for a few years and found her not very knowledgeable about myopia. They extra-bill for many tests that are covered by other optometrists as part of a comprehensive exam. She can present in a very unfriendly manner at times. The office is known to call you if you are 5 minutes late for Dr. K's appointments, not understanding that traffic can be an issue to get to their office. But, when you have to wait for her, this is just fine - lack of consideration for clients' time. I would not recommend her to anyone as there are much more knowledgeable, authentic and compassionate optometrists out there who really enjoy their work, their clients and not into extra-billing clients.

Seems like all they want to do is upsell you with extra tests and sell you their glasses. Not a relaxing inviting environment, I felt they were reluctant to answer all my questions somewhat condescending. Will never go back or recommend anyone to this EYE Doctor.

Upon entering Unionville Optometry I was greeted with a smile from the receptionists. I was told to have a seat in the waiting area where I noticed the large selection of sunglasses and regular glasses. They had brands such as Prada, Gucci, Versace and Tom Ford. I was impressed by the sleek and professional style of the display area. Once I was asked to come into the testing area the technicians were very helpful and kind. They explained each and every machine that they were going to use on me and its purpose in regards to my eye examination. The equipment itself was cutting edge and new.

I personally had an appointment with Dr. Krista Innamorato, however, in passing I also met Dr. Mark Innamorato and Dr. David Innamorato who were very professional and courteous! Dr. Krista was great! She listened to the symptoms that I had been having and was quickly able to come up with a treatment solution for my dry eye problem. In addition, she was able to inform me and took the time to explain the issues associated with dry eye and why certain people experience it.

Overall, this was an ideal experience in a doctors office. I didn’t have to wait long at all because their whole system runs very efficiently as they have plenty of staff on hand. I was comfortable, treated respectfully and cared for professionally and thats all you can ask from a visit to any doctor’s office. I would recommend this optometrists office to anyone. It’s a cut above the rest!
