I would not recommend this Dr.
$700 to remove two bumps on my leg with an unsterile razor blade, just for bumps to return. Watch your bill he pads everything $150 for you to hand your toenail sample container to the nurse! That was not exam fee or lab fee (in which that is padded) girls at front tell you those are our fees & if you politely ask Dr about the fee he blows up in a rude way and starts Ridley insulting you . Totally unprofessional office Dr & staff!

Great doc! Highly recommend! Dr. Sandler was friendly and knowledgeable about my skin problem. He was professional, courteous and has been treating my skin condition with great professionalism. I look forward to my visits.

Moved to Shelby Twp and made an appointment with Dr. Sandler for a couple of issues. In 2008 I had a skin cancer that was removed at U of M,
I heard and read that it was a rare type of cancer which formed on my cheek. First appt. with this dr. was brief, not interested in anything I had to say but told me the cancer was not rare, he said this like I was an idiot. He suggested I have cortisone injections to flatten the scar. Each time I came he spent about 30 seconds with me and I was still talking when he left the room. The staff was great, he is arrogant and unprofessional. Each subsequent visit he breezed in and every time asked me "who did the surgery". I told him 7 times it was U of M. Final appt. when I replied he asked why he was
"cleaning up U of M's mess". Up to that point I hadn't realized my face was a mess. Bottom line, after 7 painful injections the scar tissue is worse than it was when I started and I will never return to his office nor would I recommend this dr. to anyone. He's a mess.

Not happy. Waited 55 minutes to see the Dr and when I finally did I was not impressed. He took all of 5 minutes to look at some spots on my face and another 5 to zap them with some laser gun. After the procedure while I was asking him about if it would scan or anything he walked to the door and was half out the door as he was answering me. I never felt so rushed in my life. I then asked him if he had a minute just to look at a rash and my baby and he flat out said no and to make another appointment. Needless to say, neither of us will be going back to see him.

After months of not knowing what was going on, I finally found a doctor. I was thrilled at first. As I go in for my first appointment, I tell his staff what my concerns were regarding my skin. They were great.

Then came my chance to talk to him. Not only did he spend almost NO time with me before he diagnosed me with eczema but regarding my other problems, he flat out looked at me and said, "Lets get this figured out first. You have crappy insurance so Im not going to worry about the other stuff." and left.

The second time I told him that the only thing that worked was the steroids and, not knowing anything about them, I asked him if I could just continue taking them. He treated me like an uneducated idiot. Then he was walking out and I asked him what he was going to do and he said, "I dont know. One of the girls will come in and talk to you."

Now, a week later I am in worse condition than I was before and I can barely walk not to mention I am pretty sure I have an infection. Its pretty sad that I would rather go sit in an ER for hours instead of going to an actual doctor who specializes in SKIN CARE.

Had a horrible experience Dr. Sandler made me feel completely irrelevant. I had two suspicious bumps on my arms that I wanted to talk about it and see what the best course of action would be. Instead he just comes in and starts drawing on my arm to 'shave off' my spots. I attempt to mention that last time he removed the root and he ignores me and proceeds. Following that I had an irritation on my eye for over a month, I mention this to the nurse, who in turn tells the doctor; as the appointment is coming to an end, he fails to mention my eye and proceeds to write a prescription.
Now 2 months later after my spots have healed I find that the spots are growing back due to the fact that he didn't care to take the time to remove them correctly. I called to express my concerns and was told I could schedule a new appointment at full price and he could "shave off" the spots again....because that worked so well the first time.
It's not about the money however it is extremely infuriating to have someone recommend the exact same treatment when it clearly did not work the first time. I DO NOT recommend this physician.

Spent only 2 minutes in the room with my son and myself, looked at my son's chest for less then 10 seconds and said it was eczema. Was writing a script before I could even finish telling him the problem. Excuse me but small tiny red bumps head to toe is NOT eczema. I would never recommend him to anyone. Seems more interested in making big money with optional cosmetic procedures then helping a child out.

On my first visit, he spent less than 2 minutes (billed for "first visit, typically 30 minutes, pathology exam under microscope and biopsies), which I was not aware of and never were discussed). His assistant never told me what her qualifications were, but she removed a small growth next to my eye, which got infected. I made a second appointment for him to look at this cut, but he never looked at it, just stated that it was not infected and I should have taken antibiotics. He mentioned that we were incompatible and than sent me a letter which stated that he was terminating his serviced to me. Dud, I terminated you long before your letter came.

Rude dude. I took my son in as an acne patient. Payment was demanded upfront which I thought was very unusual. Eventually we were taken to an exam room and I could hear the dr. in the next room with another patient who he had done some cosmetic treatment on and he sounded witty and charming. His demeanor quickly changed when he entered the room we were in. He didn't bother introducing himself. Within 10 seconds of entering the room he prescribed Accutane for my sons mild acne and when I questioned him about it (I was shocked at the recommendation of such an aggressive treatment right off the bat) he became defensive, hostile and rude and then abruptly left the room. My having to pay upfront made sense. I can understand if he's seen his fill of acne, warts, eczema, etc. I don't understand his continuing to accept dermatology patients if he's just so over it. This dr. should concentrate on his spa patients and leave the derm patients to someone who actually cares!
