For 11+ yrs, I’ve received such incredible care from Dr. Shirley Johnson-Hall. It takes me 2 hrs, round trip in traffic for my visits w/ her, but she is worth every mile & every minute of travel. I’m constantly amazed by Dr. Johnson-Hall’s superior bedside manner & generosity! She listens attentively to patient concerns & welcomes patient input. She demonstrates a respect for her patients’ time by being punctual & by reviewing medical charts in advance of appointments, while still devoting a generous amount of time to her patients in an unrushed manner. This doctor goes above & beyond to ensure that her patients receive the most accurate diagnoses & most effective treatments possible. Dr. Johnson-Hall’s competence, kindness, patience & professionalism are paralleled only by her humility. She helped save my life so that I could take care of & enjoy quality time w my son who had a terminal illness. We are both eternally grateful to you for all that you’ve done, Shirley! We love you!

She is condescending, unhelpful, and unceoncered with the well being of her patients and is more interested in the check she gets from pharmaceutical companies than her patients health progress.

I saw Dr. Hall and her Nurse practitioner. Both were attentive and compassionate. I am scheduled for my first screening colonoscopy and the staff has assured me of the preps and the procedure. So far, so good.

don't trust them! i recently went to another doctor for something "related" & the doctor wanted my report from the colonoscopy i had at Dr. Johnson-Hall's office. her office readily gave it to the other doctor without my permission or consent. the other doctor called Dr. Johnson-Hall's office for the report & they sent it over. i am furious. i don't know what i can do about it if anything, but i will certainly think twice about giving out my information to anyone in the future.

I went to see a doctor at Gastroenterology Associates of Suffolk to talk about my hemorrhoid. I didn't get to see a doctor, but they put me into a sleep and performed colonoscopy. I only saw the doctor after the procedure where I finally asked about my hemorrhoid. The response was "there is nothing we can do here". I don't understand how this place operates. Aren't we supposed to first discuss with a doctor and figure out what is the problem and what kind of tests are needed? This clinic doesn't do any consulting or explanation, just going to put you into a sleep, perform colonoscopy and send you a bill.

Had to cancel appt due to family emergency and got fined 100.00. Not very nice. Stay away. All about the money not the patient. If they cared they wouldn't have fined and would show some compassion.

Very disappointing experience with staff; poor communication skills of staff; left message for nurse asking for call back; no call was returned; receptionist very rude and abrupt; prescribed meds not covered by my insurance; when I called to ask about that issue, I was told that I had to contact my insurance company - since this is the first time that has ever happened to me, I asked for a call back from the nurse to assist. CVS pharmacist also called the office and person who answered the phone cut her off in mid sentence and told her the same thing. While Dr. Hall may be knowledgeable and a skilled doctor, practicing medicine today involves the entire practice and how they treat their patients. They failed.

Inital visit did not give any information of possible issues, did a colonoscopy, did not call with results, made 2 appointments and they cancelled-called to say was going to be 10 minutes late they told me not to come since she needed to do rounds at the hospital on a Friday night. Obviously was not planning on spending any time on my appointment- I took off of work and traveled 2 hours - office very nasty.Ask for the doctor to then call me with the results of my colonoscopy, she did not, called back several times to request a call and finally a nurse called with the results and told me I needed treatment but needed to make an appointment and the dr could not call me to tell me over the phone. After requesting her to do so received a letter from her that I needed to come in for an appointment.Went to a new dr and he told me the diagnosis just from my symptoms and told me I only needed a sigmoidoscopy-a colonoscopy should not have been performed. Waste of insurance dollars and time.
