Dr. Jenkins is the best. He saved my life after I broke my neck & suffered a complete spinal cord injury due to a horrific car accident. He performed an anterior fusion immediately & 3 days later he performed a posterior fusion. When I was stable enough after surgery I transferred to the number 1 spinal cord injury rehab facility in the US. While there I was under the care of a very picky neurosurgeon that specializes in spinal surgeries & is generally never happy with the quality of fusions that he sees (redoing about 90% of all surgeries he sees according to my nurses & therapists) & he was EXTREMELY impressed with the quality of surgery Dr. Jenkins performed which my nurse said was highly unusual as she had NEVER heard him compliment another surgeon before. Dr. Jenkins was very realistic with me and gave me an honest up-front prognosis. He took the time to answer mine & my families questions & made sure we understood everything. He & his staff all have a WONDERFUL bedside manner.

Easily the most condescending physician I have ever encountered. Smug doesn't begin to describe this guy: Jenkins actually answered my questions with a series of shrugs, and appeared put out when I pressed him for answers. His diagnosis was almost as abrupt as his manner. No wonder his office was empty. Pass.

I am 5 days post op from lumbar spine surgery. Dr Jenkins is my HERO! I was able to get up and walk right out of anesthesia. I still have some pain, but what I have is at the surgical site and is only healing pain, no more back and leg pain. He was very thorough, great bedside manner (though he was quick due to other patients to care for)Overall I am extremely happy with Dr Jenkins and his staff. Right now I truely feel like he has given me my life back. I would reccommend him to anyone needing spinal surgery.

I have been in the health care field for over 35 yrs and had surgery in december. Dr. Jenkins is concise and does not give unrealistic expectations. He has shown care and concern. I have had an excellent outcome and couldn't ask for anything more.

My husband required back surgery and I read all the remarks about Dr. Jenkins (including the one that he had no bedside manners, but he knew his job well). I went into the office expecting the worse from him and his staff and found it totally opposite. He was professional and his staff were excellent. He even recommended that my husband receive a chest exam as something showed up on his X-ray before the spinal surgery. We found him to be concerned about my husband's health and his recovery and friendly. We were pleased with the way the operation went and the services we received from Dr. Jenkins and his staff. We were pleasantly surprised after reading the comments here. Go in with your paperwork filled out (it's on his website, be on time, and be willing to pay your co-payment upfront). I was amazed at how many people were expecting services from the doctors without paying for prior services rendered!!!) No wonder they want their money upfront.

I found this Dr. to be arrogant and obnoxious. At a time when I'd already received multiple diagnoses, and had endured 3 years of constant pain and numerous procedures (related to back pain), I turned to him (actually was referred to him by a fellow Florida Hospital Dr). He not only shattered my hope for a successful outcome (which may or may not have been in his control), but he was very condescending about it. He has the bedside manner of a dustmite.
