He's okay. Not super helpful with limited appointments. Should consider having appointments outside of school hours.

Ongoing challenges with scheduling which eventually lengthened care by more than a year. Missed a lot of school and had trouble which I felt was unnecessary getting our concerns across. Nearly all of the care is done by the assistants. Unfortunately, we were not prepared for the pain, and little education was given. I do wish there had been more communication with the parents (who were not allowed in during Covid) so that we could have avoided some of the delays and had our concerns addressed. Scheduling was the big disaster with no evening hours and weeks that we had off school all being blocked off in his schedule. Would I go back ? No. There are others with comparable (high) rates who will provide good quality care. I would certainly go to a qualified orthodontist and not a general dentist for straightening. This guy is legit, just hard to get to. Not easy to deal with.

The staff that actually works on patients are kind and knowledgeable. The office staff however are not the friendliest when it comes to pricing. First, there was absolutely no room for negotiation and my daughter needed $6500 worth of braces. Then what really turned me off was, Dr. Newtown and the office staff told us that if we have any issues in the future everything would be covered. 2 years down the road my daughters permanent wire broke and they said their "coverage" policy has changed and charged me $110 to fix it. After having just spent $6500 on braces I still had to dish out money for a job that took 15 minutes. They only care about their money and you tell by the fancy office they have.

I was interested in getting detailed information about the prices. It not cheap. The office does not like discussing and talking about it much.. The staff was angry and when I was asking additional questions about the price, they responded that they do not want to deal with me at all. They prefer not to negotiate the price and think that they give a favour to you for your money. The staff is awful.

Some of the staff have a very bad attitude and act like they are personally doing you a favour by doing what you paid for. If you are given an estimated timeframe of 24 months, expect your treatment to stretch to a year over that and with not so great results at that.

The service is okay but not as personalized as I would like. I almost never see Dr. Newton, even when there is a change in my child's treatment, I speak to someone else. Scheduling is very difficult as the office is closed for all school holidays and every Friday, and morning and late afternoon appointments are booked weeks in advance. That usually means pulling my child out of school for an appointment in the middle of the day, which is a big inconvenience for me, and causes him to fall behind in his studies. I think an office that caters mostly to teenagers should be more accommodating of the needs of students.

Dr Newton informed me at my first visit that I would not be able to use invisalign. I have clear braces and I love the job he and his staff are doing on perfecting my smile!

I had a very bad experience with Dr. Newton. At my brief consult his assistant offered me invisalign (which turned out to not be a good idea for my bite issues) and said 6 months of treatment, no problem. Almost two years later my teeth had not been straightened properly and I still had my bite issues. I tried to discuss this with him and he went back and forth between being agreeable and listening to me vs. being impatient and getting angry at me. The worst part is he caused one of my front teeth to become misshapen because he did a shoddy IPR job. His office pushes invisalign even in cases where regular braces would serve the patient better. He does charge less than many other orthodontists, but you get what you pay for. I have found an excellent orthodontist who is now fixing my outstanding bite and alignment issues, although nothing can be done to bring back the shape of my front tooth. Also, his office does not give personalized care and has an "assembly line" approach.

Just started seeing him but our initial consultation was very thorough. His office is beautiful. Staff is fairly helpful.
