In January 2018, dr Langford performed a FNA Fine Needle Aspiration on my neck.
He did not do any infection swabbing prior to starting this procedure. He did not administer any local anaesthetic to the area that was being apriated. He viciously and without due care, just injected the needle into my neck just under my ear and I screamed with the intense pain. He did not speak the whole time nor tell me what he was going to do.
The nurse/radiographer who assisted him was, in my opinion, horrified at the whole ordeal and showed some care at my state of health. This procedure was all over in about 10 excruciating minutes,. The Pathology results of this sample just seemed to disappear out of the system.
This morning I had a repeat FNA at SCUH with a totally different experience. Because of my previous experience at X-ray and Imaging, I explained to them my fear of this procedure. The Radiology Registrar, Sonographer and the Nurse were all very caring and explained the procedure to me. I was giving a local anaesthetic which then completely took away any further pain involved in the actual needle being injected into my neck.
What a complete distinct comparison in the FNA process.
I believe Dr Langford would benefit from a more professional beside manner and treatment of patients, if he was required to have a more retraining and eduction. Beware any future patients who may come in contact with this “Doctor”.
Shame on you Dr Langford.

Went to this practice and did not get the help I needed. Staff full of themself . Dr patronising .

The staff were all good, Dr Langford was excellent, very friendly , made me feel I was in very capable hands.

Have been twice now. Both times found the whole experience reassuring. I'm normally afraid of needles but will be happy to go back to this guy. The staff were all excellent too. I was in and out within 30 minutes.

OK, I needed an xray. Staff were ok, but very busy. Had an xray a week later at a different practice and this time a fracture was seen (but apparently that can happen).

Helpful reception staff; excellent sonographer; highly competent joint injections performed there and then by Dr. Langford, who explained the various options thoroughly to me. Highly recommended

Rude, obnoxious, practice in Caloundra was overcrowded. Dr Langford didn't even say anything to me before, during or after my injection! (which didn't work and was painful). Other staff were OK.
